I Was Just Thinking Ministries also has a strong sense of calling especially to those of Caribbean descent around the globe.

I Was Just Thinking Ministries is a Bible-based Messianic Jewish ministry dedicated to equipping believers in Yeshua (Jesus) with tools to know, articulate, and defend the Word of Yahweh (GOD). MANTLE

I Was Just Thinking Ministries is picking up the mantle given to Jeremiah, in chapters 1:4-10, to boldly go wherever the Lord sends us and to speak whatever the Lord commands. MISSION

We are called to help believers know what the Word of God actually says, and to equip them to articulate and defend the Word of God in everyday thoughts and about everyday things. VISION

In Ephesians 6, we are compelled to put on the whole Armour of God. The Lord provided as part of the amour, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. The Sword of the Spirit, or the Word of God, is the only offensive weapon we have. I Was Just Thinking Ministries is called to equip believers on how to effectively use the Sword of the Spirit to “destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ..” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

DOES BIBLE TRANSLATION REALLY MATTER?

Why do Bible translations sometimes use different words?
Does wording affect how we understand a passage?
And what happens when someone challenges the reliability of Scripture because translations are not identical?

At Truth Conference 2026: In Defense of the Bible, we are going beyond simply telling believers to trust the Bible. We are creating space to examine the questions people actually ask.

One of our featured sessions:

📖 TRANSLATION MATTERS

This session will be led by Dr. Sanette Fleming, President of I Was Just Thinking Ministries.

Come prepared to think more carefully about Scripture, translation, interpretation, and what it means to defend the reliability of the Biblical text with clarity and confidence.

This is one part of a full day of Biblical apologetics, keynote teaching, breakout sessions, worship, special presentations, and panel discussion.

Why do two trustworthy Bible translations sometimes use different English words in the same verse?

This is one of the questions I will be addressing at Truth Conference 2026 as we examine why Bible translation matters, and why differences between translations do not automatically mean the Biblical text is unreliable.

One important reason is surprisingly simple:
Languages do not translate one word at a time.

Biblical Hebrew and Greek words can carry a range of meaning that does not always correspond perfectly to a single English word.

That means translators sometimes have to determine which English expression best communicates the meaning of the original word in its particular context.

That is not evidence that Scripture cannot be trusted.

It is evidence that translation matters.

Understanding how translation works can help us move beyond:
“Which English version says what I expect?”

and toward the better question:
“What is the Biblical text actually communicating?”

These are exactly the kinds of questions believers need to be equipped to think about carefully, especially when claims about the Bible’s reliability are used to undermine confidence in Scripture.

At Truth Conference 2026: In Defense of the Bible, we are bringing believers together for a full day of Biblical teaching, apologetics, discussion, worship, and practical equipping.

Your teen’s questions are not a threat.
They are an invitation to listen carefully, seek truth together, and help the next generation build a faith that can withstand serious examination.

Many young people are asking difficult questions:
Is the Bible historically reliable?
Has Scripture been changed?
Can faith and intellectual honesty coexist?
How should Christians respond when culture challenges Biblical truth?

Avoiding those questions does not strengthen faith. Thoughtful, compassionate, evidence-based engagement does.

At Truth Conference 2026: In Defense of the Bible, parents, students, ministry leaders, and believers will examine the reliability, transmission, translation, and authority of Scripture, and learn how to respond with both conviction and compassion.

Come prepared to think.
Leave equipped to defend.
