A Witness Who Cannot Be Silenced
Scripture:
“So they called for them and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. Peter and John answered them, Whether it is right in the sight of God for us to listen to you rather than to God, you decide.” Acts 4:18 to 19 (CSB)
Reflection:
The council tried to silence Peter and John, but they could not silence men who had seen too much. The sermon says, “People who have seen too much cannot stay silent.” When you have encountered Jesus, when you have experienced His grace, when you have witnessed His power, silence becomes impossible. The world may attempt to control your witness, but obedience to God outweighs the pressure of people. A true encounter with Christ produces a voice that cannot be muted.
Prayer:
Father, deepen my encounter with You so that my witness becomes unshakable. Give me holy boldness to obey You above all else. Strengthen me to speak even when silence feels easier. Amen.
