Today our precious Ernie Helfrich has gone home to be with the Lord after an illness. Please keep Kathy and all the family in your prayers.
He was:
A man of God!
A loving husband!
A family man!
A man who loved his church and the people who came through the doors, especially pastors! VBS, J’s club, neighborhood Block Party and many more activities.
A father and grandfather of the children he raised as his own, along with his child (grandchildren)!
A brother!
A swamper!
A man that lite up the room as soon as he walked in!!
An uncle to every child as they grew up, (uncle Ernie)
A friend to all those that crossed his path!
A brother to his friends he was close to for over 80 years.
A Christian in every way, helping other!
A sports lover!!
A hamburglar! Loved his hamburger along with seafood, and banana splits.
Those who knew him, knew how soft his heart was and how thick his skin was.
We will miss him, and at 90 years old he has experienced so much of life on this earth, now he’s home with those he loved and missed!!
If you want to leave a message for Ernie or Kathy, or his family. Please do. They would love to hear the love you had for Ernie.
Ernie, I personally will miss you, and being a part of your life for 66 years, please know I loved you as a second father (we always joked about) and uncle Ernie!! I will miss you every Sunday but knowing you are with the Lord is truly joy in my heart! I will see you again someday.
Hey, that’s my Hat!!! You were always a jokester and could make laugh. We will take care of your sweet Kathy!
