Hi community,

In a shocking turn of meteorological events, the impending snowstorm has informed us that it will be arriving with the confidence of hungry community on Taco day at the community dinner. Forecasts suggest it will begin snowing sideways, diagonally, and possibly upward. At this point, even the weather apps are shrugging.

After careful consideration—and attempts to see if the lawn mower could double as an ark—we’ve decided to cancel Sunday’s service. Please remain indoors, where the only drifting you’ll experience is in your recliner - to sleep.

Make cocoa. Build a snow fort. Practice your “I’m fine, really” smile for when someone inevitably asks how your driveway shoveling is going. We’ll gather again next week, assuming the snowplows don’t tap out and the icicles release their grip on society 😂😂😂

Believers In Christ Community Church and Common Ground Church are partnering to hold a mid-week meal for anyone in our community that may be experiencing food insecurity or perhaps has some extra to share with their neighbors. It is a potluck style meal. If you can bring a food dish to share, please do so. If not, just come and enjoy a warm meal and some conversation! Come one, come all!

Was a great evening. So glad we could be involved!

🎉 National Night Out in York Haven Borough was a HUGE success! 🎉

Over 100 residents came out to celebrate our small but mighty community, and we couldn’t be more proud!

No Dinner Church this evening (9.22.24). There is no power at the building and several roads into York Haven are closed.

This is the work (will) of God, that you trust in him whom he has sent - Jesus Christ.

1). There is one who labors according to their own authority (will). They seek their own glory. Such is a person whose purpose begins and ends with the things of earth. They work for that which perishes.

2). There is one who labors according to the authority (will) of God. They seek not their own glory. Such is a person whose purpose has in mind that which endures unto eternal life.

What must we do to get to heaven or inherit the Kingdom of God? Jesus plainly told us. "Trust in me, this is God's will and work." When God created all things and gave man dominion, what followed was the 7th day - rest. As God is creating a new heaven and earth does not our dominion also start with rest - "Trusting in Christ." True labor (dominion) which endures to eternal life begins in Christ.

The weekly bake sale at 3rd Space is closed this Saturday. Our Chief baker has been sick. However, we hope to see everyone next week. Keep track of closing, openings and the weekly menu 3rd Space Coffee House or on Instagram at instagram.com/3rd_space_coffee

Also, as an update: As of 3 weeks ago we officially have public water at the new building at our 95 Gay St. Location. This simplifies things for our weekly community meals. This is a huge deal for us and the cause of much celebration.
