Devotional

Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” This verse calls believers to develop the same attitude, humility, and spirit that Jesus demonstrated throughout His life.

Jesus had all power and glory, yet He chose humility, obedience, compassion, and sacrifice. In a world where many seek recognition, status, and control, Christ showed us the beauty of serving others with love. Having the mind of Christ means choosing patience over pride, forgiveness over bitterness, and obedience over selfish ambition.

Every day, we are faced with opportunities to reflect His character—in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities. Sometimes the greatest testimony is not in what we say, but in how we treat people when no one is watching.

Today, ask God to shape your heart and renew your thinking so that your actions reflect Jesus more clearly. When we walk in humility and love, we become living examples of Christ to the world around us.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to have the mind of Christ. Teach me to walk in humility, love, patience, and obedience. Remove pride and selfishness from my heart, and let my life reflect Your character in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Devotional: “When God Speaks Through You”
Matthew 10:20 — “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”

There will be moments in life when you feel unprepared, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to say. Whether facing opposition, sharing your faith, comforting someone in pain, or standing in difficult situations, God never intended for you to rely solely on your own strength or wisdom.

Jesus reminded His disciples that in critical moments, they would not stand alone. The Holy Spirit would give them the words, courage, and wisdom they needed. This same promise still encourages believers today.

God’s Spirit works through surrendered hearts. When fear says, “I don’t know what to say,” faith responds, “God will speak through me.” When anxiety rises, trust reminds us that the Father’s presence is greater than our uncertainty.

This verse is a call to depend on divine guidance rather than human ability. You may not always have the perfect words, but if you walk in faith, God can use your voice for His purpose.

Reflection:
What situation in your life requires you to trust God more deeply instead of relying on your own understanding?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that I am never alone. When I am uncertain, fearful, or weak, let Your Spirit speak through me. Fill my heart with peace, my mind with wisdom, and my mouth with words that honor You. Help me trust that You will guide me in every moment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
