WHAT IS PENTECOST?
Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ, an event that empowered them to spread the gospel.
We believe that The Holy Spirit isn’t restricted to what you’ve done, where you’re at in life, who you’ve wronged, or what you think you cannot be forgiven for. The Lord wants to meet you where you’re at with His mercy, love and goodness. He is a forgiving, sovereign, Holy, and true God.
Acts 2:1-4
“On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”
We take time to recognize The Holy Spirit this Pentecost Sunday and all that He is doing in the lives of this community.
