Good day everyone,

Your pastoral and leadership team wanted to provide you with a bit of an update as to where we are in our process. It will be a bit light on specifics right now as we are still ironing them out. We are planning to gather everyone at @ the YMCA 10:30A.M. on October 6th. However it will be more of a church family meeting, including a time of discussion and answering questions. We will have details for everyone at that time for what we have discerned our future might look like. For sure a time of prayer and supplication to Jesus will be involved at that gathering as well. We would have you enter the main doors there near the corner of Yakima Ave. As a Pastoral and leadership team we have been meeting for hours each week since our last service was held to pray, seek God, and try as best we can to discern what the Holy Spirit may be saying in this season. One thing we know for sure is we are in a season of change in our church community and things will not be as they were. We have been praying for all of you, each other, and for God’s Kingdom and will to come and be done. This scripture is one that we are clinging to in this season of our church’s life cycle.

Isaiah 30:21
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear the voice behind you saying, 'This is the way; walk in it'".

Submission to God and listening to each other has been our primary goal in this time of discernment and prayer. We recognize humility is the key to discovering God's will. This means being willing to let go of the idea that we know best and to recognize that God's path may be different from the one we had planned or think is best. As we Ask for God's will it involves us trusting God's loving authority and humbly putting ourselves under God as our rightful leader. Is He king or not? Can we trust that he is good? We should. These are simple but hard questions especially in difficult times such as the one we are in. We covet your prayers, grace, mercy, unity, and love as we move forward into the future God has planned.
C.S. Lewis once said “There are better things ahead than any we leave behind.” He said this to someone who was in hospital and thought they might die. Ironically they ended up living 12 more years while Clive passed away some 4 months later. God is sovereign and His will as well as our obedience to it is all that should matter in our walk with Him. Truly there are far better things ahead if we stay firmly in the will of God even if they do not go quite as we anticipated.

Hey, all. We want to communicate our gratitude to everyone who helped out over the last couple of weeks for the church estate sale. It was a lot of work hauling everything into the sanctuary, pricing and setting up items, and helping carry things to peoples' cars! The sale was a success, and we were able to make a huge dent in clearing the building of unneeded stuff. Again, thank you!
