A few moments from our team’s week so far in Chesapeake serving alongside Rosemont Christian Church! We’re so thankful for this partnership and for the chance to serve, encourage, and celebrate what God is doing Virginia. Please keep everyone in your prayers as VBS week wraps up with a big community block party tomorrow night and our team begins heading home this weekend.

Day 5 of Rainforest Falls VBS reminded us that God is forever! 🌴🐒🦋

What a week! Today kids learned that God’s love, power, and promises never end. In a world where so many things change or don’t last, kids were reminded that God never runs out, never changes, and never leaves. Because God is forever, we can live with hope, confidence, and joy.

We are so thankful for every family who trusted us with your children this week. It has been such a joy to sing, laugh, learn, play, and point kids to Jesus together.

And to our 50+ volunteers, thank you. This week would not have happened without your time, energy, prayers, patience, creativity, and love for these kids.

We also ended the week with a pretty unforgettable Rainforest Falls moment. Because the kids gave so much to our giving challenge for Beavercreek Fish, they earned the right to send Pastor Vance, Pastor Shawn, and Miss Erin under our very own rainforest waterfall. Then every kid got a turn to throw water balloons at all three of them, complete with chants of “Get wet! Get wet!”

There may or may not be video footage of all three getting soaked and pelted with water balloons. Join us Sunday to catch just a glimpse of the fun!

Day 4 of Rainforest Falls Vacation Bible School reminded us that God’s love is powerful! 🌴🐒🦋

Today kids learned about the greatest act of love: Jesus giving His life for us and rising again. Jesus’ love wasn’t just a feeling. It was a choice that cost Him everything.

Kids hear a lot of mixed messages about love. Songs can make it sound like love is mostly about feelings, and influencers can make it seem like popularity equals love. But Jesus shows us what real love looks like. His love is selfless, sacrificial, unshakable, and forever.

Day 4 pointed kids to the cross and the empty tomb, where God showed that His love is more powerful than anything. We are fully loved, not because we are perfect, but because God is love.

As we wrap up an awesome week of VBS tomorrow, we’d love to have you join us this Sunday for our Vacation Bible School Celebration! 🌿🎉

Kids can head to KidZone during the 10AM worship service for a Glow Party with glow-in-the-dark fun, games, snacks, and a Bible lesson about how Jesus is the light in our darkness. ✨ KidZone opens at 9:30AM.

After the service, stick around for a family picnic on the church grounds with food, seating under the tent, inflatables, and outdoor games. 🌭🎈

Day 3 of Rainforest Falls VBS reminded us that God is our safe place! 🌴🐒🦋

Today kids learned about David, who had to run for his life and hide in caves when King Saul was trying to hurt him. Those caves gave David temporary shelter, but his true safety came from the presence and promises of God.

Kids may not be hiding in caves like David, but they still face hard things that can leave them feeling overwhelmed or unsafe. The good news is that God still provides a safe place, not a cave or a hiding spot, but His rock-solid presence.

Through Bible discovery, worship, rainforest fun, and our “shell-ter” experiment, kids were reminded that God never promises hard things won’t happen, but He does promise to be our shelter.

God understands. God hears what’s spoken in our hearts. God stays with us.

Day 2 of Rainforest Falls VBS reminded us that God knows us completely! 🌴🐒🦋

Today kids explored Psalm 139 and the truth that God knows everything. In the Bible, David described God’s knowledge as both mind-blowing and deeply personal. God doesn’t just see us; He knows every detail of our hearts.

In a world where kids can feel unseen, unknown, or misunderstood, Psalm 139 reminds us that God knows their hearts like a loving Father. He sees their struggles, their dreams, their quiet worries, and He cares.

For kids wrestling with comparison or anxiety, this truth brings peace. No burden or worry is hidden from our faithful God.

God knows them. God sees them. God loves them.

We "launched" into Day 1 of Rainforest Falls VBS and it was a blast! 🌴🦋🐒

Today kids learned that God is our Creator.

In a world where kids often feel pressure to prove their worth by being smarter, cooler, or more successful, Scripture reminds us of something better: before they ever had to prove anything, God had already created them with purpose, love, and value.

Through songs, Bible adventures, and our very own Creation Catapult, we celebrated the God who made the whole world and made each of us in His image.

What a fun first day discovering that we are known, loved, and created by God!
