Join us Friday, September 11, for a community concert of remembrance and hope with choir and orchestra participants from First United Methodist Church Plano, First United Methodist Church of Allen, First United Methodist Church Sachse, First United Methodist Church Garland, Wylie United Methodist Church, University Park United Methodist Church, Suncreek United Methodist Church, and other area musicians.

🎶 Together We Stand: A Community Concert of Remembrance and Hope

Join us at FUMC Plano for a special community concert honoring the anniversary of September 11. Musicians from Wylie UMC and other area churches will join musicians from FUMC Plano to present the memorable and powerful evening of music.

The Sunshine Stringers were privileged to welcome Ukulele Praise from Custer Road United Methodist Church to Wylie UMC for a joint practice session!

It was a wonderful evening of music, fellowship, and connection. We shared snacks, played plenty of ukulele, and spent time getting to know one another and sharing why we love making music together.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with fellow United Methodist musicians in our area and look forward to more collaborations with our ukulele friends in the future!

Throughout August, we've been collecting donations of pens and pencils, small packets of Tylenol or ibuprofen, lip balm, individual-size candy, Goldfish, Cheez-Its, nuts, tissues, and hand sanitizer.

On August 30, at our Fifth Sunday Fellowship, we'll assemble welcome bags with these items for students connected with the Wesley Foundation at East Texas A&M University in Commerce, helping them feel supported as they begin a new school year.

Thank you for helping us share God's love and encouragement with college students!

Join Pastor Jeremy on Wednesdays at 6 PM beginning tonight as he leads us in a study of the book “Better Ways to Read the Bible”—a book that compels us to read the Bible with honesty, integrity and through the healing lens of Jesus.
