What is something you regret?!? As you look back on your life, what is something you've done that makes you say...'I would do anything to get a 'do-over'.
Our current sermon series at Journey is called '4000 weeks'. If you live to 80 years, you have approximately 4000 weeks in your lifetime. You take away hours we are sleeping, commuting, working, etc. and that doesn't leave a ton of time. What are we doing with that precious time? Yesterday we heard about not wasting those precious hours, days and weeks focusing on our past regrets and failures. We learned:
THE WEIGHT OF THE PAST: Looking back too often keeps us stuck in regret, shame, and the "what ifs." It prevents us from living fully in the present.
GRACE OVER GUILT: Because life is short, dwelling on past failures is a waste of your precious, limited time. God offers a clean slate, and forgiveness means leaving the past where it belongs.
MOVING FORWARD: Stepping into God's future requires actively choosing to look ahead instead of focusing on who you used to be or what you used to do.
What is one past regret or lingering guilt that you can let go of this week? Let's shift our focus from past regrets to future opportunities!
