**Updated INFO Please re-read!** Hey everyone! Just wanted to share an update for camp details. First I just want to say how crazy this past month has been, but that all of you have made it a blast! There are a few things that we wanted to make sure you knew before leaving for camp.
1. Everyone will need to bring bags so that you can place your dirty clothes in over the 4 days that we'll be gone. Believe me, you don't want your dirty clothes mixing with your clean ones.
2. Everyone needs to bring deodorant, body wash, shampoo, wash rag/luffa, and foot powder. WE WILL BE CHECKING YOUR BAGS BEFORE WE LEAVE THE CHURCH lol.
3. Bring at least 5 changes of clothes for every day wear if you can. Bring a couple bathing suits as well.
4. Bring 2 sets of clothes for services if possible. Boys, we highly encourage jeans if possible.
5. You'll want to bring a pair of shoes for day time activities, a pair of shoes for services, and a pair of shoes for the last full day which is mud wars. That pair will most likely be thrown away before we leave unless you bring a separate plastic bag for them. We highly suggest that you go to Walmart and get a cheap pair. The camp WILL NOT allow you to go barefoot at any time outside at camp.
6. Bring a physical bible, notebook/pad, and pens. Be sure to store the pens in a separate bag in your luggage. You will want to write down what God is doing during the week and the services.
7. Phones ARE NOT allowed at camp due to the digital safety of other campers. I would suggest leaving them at home. If you choose to bring them and take photos on the way there and the way back, that’s up to you. If you bring your phone, Pastor Tabitha will have a lock box in which all phones will be placed into to. You will be able to retrieve them before we leave the property for home. Parents will be able to contact the camp in the case of an emergency.
8. Bring a blanket and pillow. Fans are allowed.
9. Parents of kiddos with medication. Please go to Walmart, Walgreens, or your local pharmacy to get blister packs. I would suggest by Tuesday or do it on Sunday. Memorial Day at throw the schedule of a smaller pharmacy off.
10. Swimming will be available. If you choose to swim, dark shirts and shorts will be mandatory for all campers in adherence with the rules of Camp Cargill.
We will be leaving the church campus for Camp Cargill in Sparks, OK at 9 a.m. on Wednesday May 27th. Bring enough money to eat lunch on the way there and on the way back. We will stop at Hamburger King in Shawnee before making the rest of the trip to Sparks. We will then go through Stillwater to eat at Eskimo Joe's on the way back on Saturday May 30th. (If you need help with the meal going there or coming back, don't be afraid to ask us.). There will also be a concession stand there with drinks, food, and shirts.
Last Thing: WE WILL be serving in the kitchen at least once. This isn't a punishment. This is being a servant. There may not be a Timothy Award given at camp anymore, but WE WILL represent our church, ourselves, our families, and our God. You will be an example to the camp staff, speakers, worship team, and other students from different churches. Some students that will be there may not be saved and will need examples of what a disciple of Christ looks like. You've heard me say it a thousand times already, but in each one of you is a leader. Represent yourself with the same example that you've seen from your church leadership and other Christ followers in your life.
