Grandparents are more than warm memories, family recipes, and well-timed gifts. They can be powerful voices of faith, identity, and blessing in a child’s life. In Genesis 48, Jacob welcomed Ephraim and Manasseh into Israel’s covenant family. Though they had been raised in Egypt and shaped by its culture, Jacob reminded them that Egypt did not have the final word over who they were. The same is true today. Children and grandchildren face constant pressure from social media, comparison, consumerism, and countless voices trying to define their worth. Grandparents and older adults can offer something deeper: faithful prayer, honest family stories, a visible example of trust in God, and words that call out courage, kindness, and purpose. You may not control the culture or choose another person’s path, but your steady presence can leave a lasting spiritual inheritance. This week, pray for one young person by name, share one meaningful family story, and speak one specific blessing over their life. Your influence may reach farther than you will ever see.

Fully Equipped: How to Put on the Armor of God Every Day
⚔️ Every day brings a spiritual battle—but God has not left us unprepared.
Ephesians 6 reminds us to put on the full armor of God: truth to steady us, righteousness to guard our hearts, the gospel of peace to guide our steps, faith to extinguish fear and doubt, salvation to protect our minds, and God’s Word to confront deception.
And through it all, we pray—staying alert, depending on God, and standing with others in the faith.
Before you step into today, ask yourself:
What part of God’s armor have I left off?
Don’t face the day in your own strength. Stand firm in the Lord and in His mighty power. 🙏

Stinky Feet & Servant Leadership
In John 13, Jesus gives us one of the clearest pictures of true leadership. The disciples were arguing about greatness, but Jesus quietly got up, wrapped a towel around His waist, and washed their dirty feet.
That moment was more than humility. It was a lesson.
Jesus knew exactly who He was, where He came from, and where He was going—and because His identity was secure, He was free to serve. He didn’t need status, applause, or recognition. He simply loved.
The world tells us leadership is about position, power, and being seen. Jesus shows us that kingdom leadership looks like sacrifice, humility, and service.

3 Traits of a Servant Leader
Sacrifice for others
Serve without needing credit
Notice needs and respond with love

So here’s the question we all should ask ourselves this week,
Whose “stinky feet” will I wash?

There are moments in Scripture that are so familiar we can almost move past them too quickly. We have heard the story, we know the lesson, and we assume there is nothing new to see. John 13 can become one of those passages. Jesus washes the disciples’ feet. We call it humility. We call it service....

🌎 MISSIONS: WHY SHOULD WE CARE BEYOND OUR OWN BACKYARD?

At Crossroads Community Church, we believe ministry starts right here—but it doesn’t stop here! ❤️

We serve our local community through ministries like Hope Center, Encompass Ministries, and Carmel Elementary School, where we provide food, Christmas gifts, lunches, and other practical help to families in need.

But Jesus gave us a mission that reaches much farther:

“Go and make disciples of all nations.” — Matthew 28:19

Through our partnerships with the Southern Baptist Convention, Georgia Baptist Mission Board, and Noonday Baptist Association, Crossroads helps support missionaries and ministries throughout Georgia, across the United States, and around the world.

Most of us may never travel to Africa, Indonesia, or another distant country to share the Gospel. But we can pray, give, encourage, and send those God has called.

🌍 We may not all go—but together, we can all have a part!

Our community. Our nation. Our world. One Gospel. One mission. 🙏
