Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled. - Matthew 5:6
Today begins our 10 days of prayer and fasting.
During these 10 days, keep in mind what happens when people cry out to God in desperation through fasting and prayer for a mighty move of God:
-He fights battles (2 Chronicles 20)
-Brings victory (1 Samuel 7)
-Delivers from national destruction (Book of Esther)
-Opens doors (Nehemiah1)
-Brings revelation. (Daniel 9)
-Gives strength. (Matthew 4)
We are fasting for hunger for God - for us, our region and nation. When people have no appetite for God, their appetite for everything else goes unrestrained. Listen to message from Sunday, link in comments.
Let’s get started with humbly praying the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13):
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
