GraceChurch

GraceChurch GraceChurch is a nondenominational, Spirit-filled church that exists to bring the healing and hope of Pastor Kendall Libby

Kendall Libby is from Maine.

Pastor Kendall was born in Portland, Maine, on January 4, 1955. His parents are Kendall & Marjorie Libby who both attend GraceChurch. Kendall grew up in Scarborough, Maine, graduated from Scarborough High School, and later graduated from Lee University in Tennessee with a BS in Education. Pastor Kendall was raised in a strict mainline denomination, became a Christian at the age of 15, and later se

rved as an ordained pastor with that same organization for nearly 20 years. He has always had a heart for people on the mission field, and was quest speaker for the Honduras National Convention (COG) in 1992 and the Leeward Islands National Convention (COG) in 1994 in the Caribbean. Pastor Kendall currently owns KAL Apartments LLC, but his heart and joy remain his family and his ministry at GraceChurch.
“After being out of pastoral ministry for many years, and believing the enemy’s lie that I could never pastor again, I feel almost “born again” again,” Pastor Kendall said, “ I pinch myself every Sunday driving to worship. God is truly the God of second chances! I feel blessed. God alone daily is my restorer and I seek His approval only. Never before has life been this alive, colorful and full of promise.”

“Even More, As You See the Day Coming”
By Pastor Kendall Libby

Good afternoon GC family and friends. Since you accepted Jesus and became a believer, how has your life changed? The answer shouldn’t be that difficult. And it’s definitely not a trick question! I remember a time in the church when people really got saved. And when they got saved, you knew they were saved! They didn’t have to say a word. Yes, there were sometimes sins involving the demonic that were stubborn and fought back hard. Sins like drug addiction, drunkenness, and sexual habits were met with powerful prayer and fasting from the church family. Others had their hands full with gossip, anger, judging others, pride, and unforgiveness. These were often called inner “secret sins.” Though, in due time, they weren’t all that secret! If believers didn’t fully “put away” and crucify these sins of the flesh, they would displease God and not be allowed to ever enter the kingdom of heaven. Not to mention, far more churches have closed and far more revivals have been derailed, by these sins of the flesh than any opposition of Satan ever has! In those days people didn’t just run to a self-help conference or line up some marriage therapy to “learn to live with” their sin. They actually got free! Which happens to be the plan of God! Now I’m not saying we will never go through a season in life when we will need help navigating. But when we do, it’s critical that God and God’s Word are in the plan. Our attitude should be “God, I’ll do anything I have to do. I’ll do anything you ask me to do! I must overcome and ‘put away’ the flesh!” Amen! On Sunday morning, September 6, I’m going to directly confront and rebuke two of the biggest lies being peddled on the internet in recent weeks. Believers are at risk. The flock is being scattered. And it’s all being done by people who should know better. Join me at GraceChurch, 628 Gray Road, Windham ME @ 10:30AM. Joy Wendel will open Grace Cafe at 9:45 with Guest Chef John Berryman making breakfast sandwiches to order tomorrow only! Joy will have a variety of other breakfast goodies as well. And of course at Grace Cafe, there is never a charge! I love you all. I’ll see you there!

This has certainly been a baptism weekend to remember. It illustrates our commitment to our Baptism-On -Demand policy at GraceChurch. On Saturday, August 29, the church held a private baptism for one family of GC. Pastor Kendall baptized four members of that family. Then today August 30 two more members of GraceChurch were baptized by the Pastor also - Bill Calendine and Isabella Hebert. Congratulations to you all! Enjoy a few of the pictures!

“The Flesh Cannot Please God”(2)
By Pastor Kendall Libby

Good evening GraceChurch family and friends. Tomorrow morning I continue to push deeper into the very thing that torments believers more than any other thing. The Bible calls it the flesh. Some of you can remember bold preaching on this subject when you were a child. Even many of us pastors grew up learning how impossible it was for the flesh to please God. So is it ok if I just ask the obvious? Where in the world has solid Biblical teaching and preaching gone on this one folks? This subject swallows us up, runs us through the spin cycle, then leaves us feeling guilt ridden and condemned. That is, those of us who have a conscience left! Those who have not deceived ourselves. Listen, the most dangerous person you will ever lie to is you! When you lie to you you’re left with what scripture calls a “seared conscience.” Paul said it was coming you know. You can find it in 1 Timothy 4:1-2 KJV. It will happen at the last of the end times. It’s what happens when people don’t want to feel guilty for their sins and their commitment to sin anymore. Even in the church people are making provision for the flesh. They go shopping before they sin. They want to “feel their sin” as much as they possibly can. They want to pamper it. Imagine that! Feeding the flesh! That’s the best way I know of, to avoid feeling guilty. Sear your conscience! Now let me say something else equally crazy. It’s the reason 60-70% of people sitting in non-denominational churches just like GraceChurch every Sunday, are living together unmarried, or cheating on their spouse, or have secret online relationships that their husband or wife is completely unaware of. And tomorrow, this is the perfect message for me to talk about Jelly Roll for a few minutes. The hottest ticket in town this week. You need to come! Invite! Share this on FB. Come early. Spend some time in the Cafe(no charge). Pray! Prepare in advance to receive God’s truth. There’s communion! Water baptism at 11:45. Don’t forget your Bible. See you all there! I love you all! This service go LIVE on FB.
