As someone who just celebrated a half century of a very happy marriage, this piece is especially meaningful to me. Until the day of which Mrs. Eddy speaks, comes, we emulate this union of hearts with complete joy.

The Reading Room is located in the church building at 1620 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, NC.

Personally, one of the first reasons I became so interested in Christian Science is the fact that Mrs. Eddy saw God as integrated Father-Mother, not as a solely male deity with a solely male hierarchy.

"Father-Mother is the name for Deity, which indicates His tender relationship to His spiritual creation. As the apostle expressed it in words which he quoted with approbation from a classic poet:
'For we are also His offspring.' "
