New families Orientation for our students entering 1st-7th grade. Our student ambassadors helped our new students learn all about St. Mary School with a scavenger hunt throughout the school followed by snacks in our science lab while our families met with our principal, pastor, PTA, nurse, cafeteria director, and a recent alumni to answer any questions and share additional information to get everyone ready to begin this new school year.

On August 22, the Catholic Daughters, led by Roseanna Bodner, held a women's retreat titled "The Gift of Being a Woman: Based on the Insights of Pope St. John Paul II." The theme of the retreat was the feminine genius, with presentations given by four Catholic Daughters on the lives of St. Catherine of Siena, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Servant of God Julia Greeley, and modern-day Servant of God Chiara Corbella Petrillo - all women who exemplified the way the feminine genius can bear fruit. The retreat also included time for reflection, small-group discussions, Consecration to the Blessed Mother, fellowship, and nutritious food. The day ended with the Rosary. Special thanks to Roseanna Bodner and our Catholic Daughters Court Mater Creatoris 1808 for planning and running this retreat!
