When you think of our community, what are some things we should continually work on to make a positive impact on public life? Micah 6:8 gives us a good outline for what the Lord requires: to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God. If you see injustice, go to Him in prayer and ask for guidance on how to stand with those who are being hurt. Remember to be patient and kind while we work together to make our community even better!

We are kicking off our summer service schedule this Sunday. Service will start at 10 am followed by the Strawberry Festival at 11:30 am. All are welcome!

Many thanks to all who participated in the Ministerium’s Faith250 workshops over these past several months.

On Sunday, June 14 (Flag Day) at 3:00 pm at the Monroe Twp Community Garden (located next to the Free Library of Monroe Twp at 713 Marsha Avenue), the Ministerium plans to hold a unity tree planting ceremony as our ecumenical unity civic initiative bringing together faith leaders, parishioners, gardeners, community members to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary. Collectively, we will honor our shared heritage as we gather in unity, faith, and country. All are welcome to this commemorative ceremony sponsored by the Williamstown Ministerium.

Composer of our days and director of our lives, your wonder is engraved in the foundations of all creation. Tune our hearts to praise, and silence our crowded minds so we might sing the majesty of your love. —Bread for the Day

The Lord calls believers to act responsibly while we wait for Him to return. If we ignore His guidance to prepare ourselves and those around us, He will hold us accountable, as Jesus warns in Luke 12:45-48. We are held to a higher standard because He has entrusted us with the Good News and directed us to help others form a relationship with Him. And we will face greater judgement if we abuse others or live self-indulgently instead of serving them.

Let’s be responsible, strengthen our relationship with Jesus, and live as He taught us to live so we can lovingly guide our friends, family, and neighbors toward Him. All are welcome to service this Sunday at 9:30 am!

Waiting for the Lord to return also comes with a very important job – to be a faithful steward over those around you.

Luke 12:41-44 shows us the standard the Lord is looking for in a faithful manager: someone who works diligently to guide their friends, family, and neighbors in their own walks with the Lord. Scripture tells us that faithful stewards will be blessed when He returns.

Let’s work to be the faithful stewards the Lord calls us to be. All are welcome to our service this Sunday at 9:30 am!
