Today's path for unquenchable prayer is from Ephesians 1:3-10, NIV, for February 3, 2025.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will — to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment — to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ."

Today's path for unquenchable prayer is from Isaiah 55:8-9, NIV/NLT combination, for January 29, 2025.

“'My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,' says the Lord. 'And neither are your ways my ways — my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.'”

Today's path for unquenchable prayer is from Isaiah 10:20-27, NRSVUE, for January 28, 2025.

"On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer lean on the one who struck them but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God. For though your people, O Israel, were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, an overwhelming verdict. For the Lord God of hosts will make a full end, as decreed, in all the earth.

Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: 'O my people who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians when they beat you with a rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did. For in a very little while my indignation will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction.' The Lord of hosts will wield a whip against them, as when he struck Midian at the rock of Oreb; his staff will be over the sea, and he will lift it as he did in Egypt. On that day his burden will be removed from your shoulder, and his yoke will be destroyed from your neck."

Today's path for unquenchable prayer is from Isaiah 29:11-16, NRSVUE, for January 27, 2025.

"The vision of all this has become for you like the words of a sealed document. If it is given to those who can read with the command, 'Read this,' they say, 'We cannot, for it is sealed.' And if it is given to those who cannot read, saying, 'Read this,' they say, 'We cannot read.'

The Lord said:
Because these people draw near with their mouths
and honor me with their lips,
while their hearts are far from me
and their worship of me is a human commandment learned by rote,
so I will again do
amazing things with this people,
shocking and amazing.
The wisdom of their wise shall perish,
and the discernment of the discerning shall be hidden.

Woe to those who hide a plan too deep for the Lord,
whose deeds are in the dark,
and who say, 'Who sees us? Who knows us?'
You turn things upside down!
Shall the potter be regarded as the clay?
Shall the thing made say of its maker,
'He did not make me,'
or the thing formed say of the one who formed it,
'He has no understanding'”?

Please join us in lifting up our Free Methodist pastors in prayer, asking for their spiritual well-being, the health of their families, and the overall welfare of our churches. Our pastors devote themselves week after week, responding to the call of our Lord with selflessness. They often forgo time with their loved ones and friends to serve the community and support others. Pray that our Lord replenishes their spirits after the holiday season and grants them opportunities for rest and renewal. Pray for our Lord's peace and steadfast calm to envelop them as they prepare for the upcoming year. Share this message to inspire others to join us in prayer.
