Faith Renewal Church Helping people renew their faith in God. Worshiping together Sundays at 10:30. Pastor: Rev. Gary Belk

You watch a preacher long enough, he will disappoint you.
You attend a church long enough, it will let you down in some way.
You serve in a ministry for some time, you will get hurt.
All of these are true but it does not mean you quit, get bitter or leave.
It does mean that you forgive, stay steadfast and focussed on Jesus.
Pray for your pastor.
Be faithful in your local church.
Serve others.

When we talk about Christians serving the church with their God-given talents and gifts, people oftentimes think too small, perhaps picturing the person in the choir or the Sunday school teacher. But if they themselves are not naturally adept at singing or teaching, they give up.
It’s time that we stop thinking in terms of a “Sunday only” establishment. The church is not simply a place or a time; it is a body of believers, each one uniquely gifted by God to guide, help, challenge, and support the rest. In fact, most serviced to the Lord doesn’t take place inside the church building. It happens out in the world, where we do all the things that Scripture commands.
Most believers aren’t able to influence a lot of people. When we act or speak, only those closest to us notice, but a chain reaction ripples outward to affect an entire community. A gentle rebuke, a listening ear, or a loving deed benefits the church by strengthening one brother or sister, who then supports another.
We are on this earth to serve the kingdom of God and His church. And we do that by ministering to each other in small ways that steady the whole body as we give extra support to one member. In talking about such service, I challenge you to find a need that God can meet through you.

Be thankful in everything - the little things, the big things, the things that don't go your way.

Studies show that children with “invisible” disabilities are the least likely to attend church, and many parents indicate that their neurodivergent children have been excluded at church.

One parent argues that the church needs a culture shift.

She writes, “Inclusion begins with recognizing that every person, regardless of ability, is created in the image of God and has gifts to offer the church community.”

Many churches today unintentionally train people to approach Christianity like consumers.
Find the church with the best music.
Best kids ministry.
Best coffee.
Best preacher.
Best atmosphere.
Best experience.
And once the experience no longer satisfies them, they move on to the next option.
But the New Testament never speaks to believers as consumers shopping for religious goods and services.
It speaks to them as citizens of a kingdom.
Servants of a King.
Members of a body.
Living stones in a temple.
Brothers and sisters in a covenant family.
Consumers ask:
“What am I getting?”
Citizens ask:
“What am I building?”
Consumers leave when preferences are not met.
Citizens stay because they belong to something larger than themselves.
The church was never supposed to function like a religious marketplace competing for attention in the economy of preferences.
The church was meant to be an outpost of the kingdom of God in the middle of a fallen world.
