North Heights youth are happy to assist ICT Food Rescue “rescue” food surplus, to keep it out of the landfills, and in the hands of the community.

Today we picked up food at Little Caesar’s and happily delivered it to the United Methodist Open Door!!

What a great way to keep our kids busy while volunteering to serve in the community!

Wichita, it’s time to cool off! FREE swim days are happening at McAfee Pool—one of 6 City of Wichita- Government pools—located at 1240 E. 14th St. N., Wichita, KS 67214.

We’re kicking things off Saturday, June 6 and continuing every other Saturday (excluding July 4).

And during Juneteenth ICT’s park celebration June 19–21 from 1–6 p.m., swimming is FREE too!

Grab your swimsuit, bring your people, and let’s make this a summer to remember.

It is with sadness, yet immense gratitude, that we announce Reverend Luis Mendez's final Sunday at North Heights Christian Church, which will be this Sunday, May 31st.
Over the past 6 years, Pastor Mendez has devotedly served our congregation with unwavering compassion, dedication, and love, proving himself to be an exemplary pastor who ensures every individual feels welcome, loved, and accepted. His tenure has been marked by tireless efforts to foster an environment of inclusivity and warmth.
We will miss his presence but are grateful for the time, care, leadership, and devotion he has selflessly given to NHCC.
We will continue to pray for him as he begins a new chapter, and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

We invite you to join us this Sunday, May 31st at 11am, as Pastor Mendez delivers his farewell sermon at NHCC.

Happy to help Family Promise of Greater Wichita

A big thank you to our friends at Riverside Christian Church, with support from North Heights Christian Church for hosting and supporting Family Promise families last week. 💛

As always, the week came with plenty of moving pieces, including changing work schedules and the flexibility that comes with helping families navigate real life in real time, and we’re so grateful for the way your church teams continued to adapt, support, and care for families through it all!

Hospitality in this work often looks like flexibility, patience, encouragement, celebration, and simply continuing to show up well, and we’re thankful for partners who are willing to do exactly that.

Thank you for helping create safe and welcoming spaces for families during important seasons of transition and growth. 💛
