Divers in the Gulf of Aqaba have found coral-covered formations resembling ancient chariot wheels near Nuweiba, a proposed site of the biblical Red Sea crossing. The area includes a natural underwater land bridge between Sinai and Arabia and faces ancient Midian.

Reported four- and six-spoke wheels resemble 18th Dynasty Egyptian chariots, including those from the reign of Amenhotep II, the Pharaoh of the Exodus
