We’re starting a brand-new sermon series this Sunday at Emmanuel Baptist Church:

THE CHURCH JESUS BUILT

Jesus said, “I will build my church.” — Matthew 16:18

With so many ideas today about what church is supposed to be, we’re going back to the Bible and asking one simple question:

What kind of church did JESUS intend us to be?

At Emmanuel, we believe church doesn’t have to be complicated.

Church the way you remember it.
No show. Just Jesus.

Real people serving a real God.
The Bible opened and preached.
People praying for one another.
Families worshiping together.
Fellowship that’s genuine.
And a church family where Love is an Action, Not Just a Word.

Another great Sunday at Emmanuel Baptist Church!

We had a wonderful morning of worship, great music, and a powerful reminder from Romans 7:15–25 that even though the battle within is real, Jesus has already won the victory!

Then we wrapped up the day with some good fellowship at our Pizza, Popcorn & Movie Night! 🍕🍿

I’m thankful for our church family and for every opportunity we have to worship, learn, laugh, and simply spend time together.

God is good, and He’s still not finished with us!

What a great morning of food, fellowship, laughter, and encouragement at Emmanuel Baptist Church!

Our Men’s and Women’s Breakfasts are about more than just a meal—they’re an opportunity to slow down, spend time together, encourage one another, and grow in our relationships with each other and with Christ.

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning and to those who helped make both breakfasts possible! We are truly blessed by the fellowship God has given us at Emmanuel.

🎶 Today is National Vinyl Record Day, and it has me thinking back to some great memories.

The first Christian album I ever owned was Amy Grant’s Age to Age. But even before and around that time, I remember as a kid going into Zondervan when it was in the mall and listening to Christian music there. I also remember listening to music at Harmony over on Call Field Road.

Those were the days when finding a new album meant actually going to the store, flipping through the records or cassettes, and sometimes listening before deciding what you wanted to take home.

Funny how a song or an album can take you right back to those places.

So here’s my question…

💿 What was the first Christian album you ever owned?

And bonus points if you remember buying Christian music at Zondervan or Harmony!😄

What does God see when He looks at us?

We’re pretty good at seeing what’s on the outside—and sometimes even better at making sure everyone else sees what we want them to see. But Scripture reminds us that God looks somewhere deeper.

“The LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7
