VBS Day 2 Recap – LIVE IT OUT! 🎉

What an amazing second night of Vacation Bible School at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church! We were blessed to have 32 energetic youth join us for an evening filled with faith, fun, fellowship, and learning. ❤️

Tonight’s lesson focused on The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) and the importance of praying for one another. Our youth learned that loving like Jesus means showing compassion, supporting friends, and building a habit of lifting others up in prayer.

🙏 Theme: Love Like Jesus Through Prayer and Service
🙏 Key Lesson: Pray for the people around you just as Jesus taught us.
📖 Key Verse: “Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice…” — Matthew 7:24

The youth enjoyed delicious hot dogs, worked hard on their class banners, and participated in activities that helped them understand how prayer can make a difference in others' lives.

We are so proud of our young people as they continue learning how to LIVE IT OUT by putting God’s Word into action every day!

Our Pastor, Dr. Turner, and First Lady stopped by to encourage our youth and even jumped in to help. Their support means so much to our VBS family! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing teachers and volunteers who came prepared, brought the energy, and helped make Day 1 a success. Y’all truly rocked it! 🙌🏾

Our first day focused on Living It Out Through Forgiveness, teaching our youth that when we forgive others, we reflect the love and grace that Jesus shows us every day.

We are excited to see what God has in store for the rest of the week! Keep praying for our children, leaders, and families as we continue this journey together.

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Marks 135 Years
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church celebrated its 135th Church Anniversary on Sunday, June 7th. The day featured a 10:00 a.m. memorial service and a 3:00 p.m. celebration with special guests from New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Pastor Anthony delivered the message as the guest speaker, making the milestone event a memorable occasion for the congregation.
