Today we honor the beautiful name of Mary! A name that has brought comfort, hope, and love to generations of faithful hearts. Mary reminds us that a life rooted in God can leave a lasting legacy of faith.

And isn’t that what so many grandparents do so beautifully? Through their prayers, stories, example, and quiet love, grandparents help plant seeds of faith that can grow for generations. 🌿

May we cherish the grandparents who have shared their faith with us, thank God for the legacy they leave, and ask Mary to watch over every grandparent and grandchild today.

Mass for the Loss of a Child
On Tuesday, September 15, Our Lady of Lourdes Respect Life Ministry in De Pere will offer a “Mass for the Loss of a Child” at 6:30pm. Our goal is to provide hope and healing to all who have experienced the death of a child, whatever the age or cause, including losses due to miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion or tragedy. Please join us for this special Mass.

Today we celebrate the birthday of our heavenly Mother, Mary. 💙

Like every mother, Mary reminds us that love is often found in a gentle presence, a listening heart & the courage to walk beside those we love. She teaches us to treasure God’s blessings, to trust Him in every season, and to bring our children, our families, and our whole lives closer to Jesus.

May Mary, our loving Mother, wrap us in her prayers today and always, guiding us gently toward her Son.

This Labor Day, we give thanks for the gift of work and for all who labor to provide for their families, serve their communities, care for others, and build a better world.

Faith reminds us that work has dignity because we are called to use the gifts God has given us in service of others. Every honest task can become an offering to God.

As we enjoy this day of rest, may we remember to thank God for the strength to work, the wisdom to serve, and the people whose work blesses our lives.

Small acts of love can become a great offering to God.

As a new school year begins, we pray for every student, teacher, administrator, staff member, and family in our community.

Bless the children who are excited, the ones who are nervous, and those who may be facing a difficult year. Give teachers patience and wisdom, parents encouragement, and students courage to use their gifts well.

✝️ Lord Jesus, walk with our children into every classroom. Guide their minds, guard their hearts, and help them grow in wisdom, virtue, and love of You.
