Dear Families,

We are excited to invite your children to our Rainforest Falls VBS, taking place June 8–12 from 12:30–3:30 PM!

Children ages 4 years old (finishing 3K) through students finishing 4th grade are welcome to join us for this fun and faith-filled week. If you have a child who is 3 years old but potty trained, we can take special consideration.

Step through the mist and trek into Rainforest Falls — a vibrant world filled with waterfalls, towering trees, and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, children will explore God’s creation and discover how He rooted David—and us—in His beautiful world.

Throughout the week, children will learn what it means to be rooted in a relationship with God, our Creator and a safe place in life’s storms. We will explore Bible stories from David’s life and see how Jesus guides us as our Good Shepherd.

Program Structure:
Both our preschool and elementary programs run at the same time and follow a shared schedule:

All children will begin together in the grade school commons for Opening
They will then split into age-appropriate groups for activities designed for their developmental level
The groups will come back together for our closing time, the “Canopy Closing”
🎉 Children can look forward to games, activities, snacks, songs, and more in this interactive and engaging summer experience!

🌟 Day 4 Recap at True North VBS! 🌟

Today was powerful. We learned that when we need HOPE—we can TRUST JESUS! 🙏💛

Through stories, songs, and activities, we explored the most amazing part of God’s plan: Jesus’ death and resurrection. It was a meaningful day as we reflected on the incredible hope we have because Jesus is alive!

He gives us strength when we’re hurting, light when things feel dark, and hope that never fades. ✝️💫

We can’t believe there’s only one day left! Let’s finish strong and keep our compass pointed to True North—Jesus!

🎉 Days 2 & 3 are in the books at True North VBS! 🎉

We’ve been splashing into God’s Word and having a blast while doing it! 💦 From fun water games to learning all about God’s incredible creation, each moment has been full of laughter, discovery, and faith-building.

This week, we’ve been reminded that even when we feel alone or powerless—we can TRUST JESUS! 🙌❤️

With just two days left, we can’t wait to see what other adventures God has in store for us. Keep journeying north with us—True North VBS is not done yet! 🧭✨

VBS Day 1 – What a Great Start! 🎉✝️

We kicked off VBS with a record-breaking 79 students today — our biggest Day 1 ever! 🙌

We learned all about Jesus’ baptism and how it saves us, reminding us of God’s great love. 💧❤️

Our day was filled with:
🎨 Fun and creative crafts
🎲 High-energy games
📖 Faith-building Bible lessons

And the most important message we learned today:
When we wonder or feel unsure… we can TRUST JESUS! 🙏

We’re so thankful for each smiling face that walked through our doors today and can’t wait for more fun and learning tomorrow!

📣 Work Day Update!

Hey everyone! Due to a scheduling conflict with another group using the Commons this afternoon, we’ll be taking a break from our planned work day today.

🎨 If you're a station leader, you're still welcome to work in your area, but no stage or Commons setup will be possible after 11:30 AM.

We'll be back at it Friday from 12–3 PM, and we’d love your help then if you're available! 💪😊

📣 Vacation Bible School Volunteers Meeting – May 31st

All VBS volunteers are asked to join us on Saturday, May 31st from 9:00–11:00 AM for an important planning meeting. We will be reviewing the VBS week schedule, beginning setup, and sorting through donated items.

All volunteers are needed, even if you are only going to be there for part of the week.

Food will be provided following the meeting. After we eat, setup will continue until 1:00 PM.

If you’re available, additional setup help is welcome from June 2nd–6th, between 12:00–3:00 PM.

With VBS only 13 short days away, we are looking for help setting up the stage! We are doing our main events in the commons this year and are needing assistance bringing the stage up from the basement and putting it together. VBS Volunteer Meeting – This Sunday!

Join us for a True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World VBS volunteer meeting this Sunday, March 23, between services. If you are interested in volunteering and want to learn more, please attend the meeting in the narthex from 12-1 PM. If you are interested in sharing the love of Jesus this summer with children around the community, we are excited to have you. VBS will be June 9-13th, from 12:30-3:30.
