Our Prayer Garden took a serious beating thanks to harsh winter weather and flooding...Thank you to these young people who took time out to clean up, w**d and plant some flowers! Their hard work and willingness to serve is a blessing to our parish!

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, Cycle A
Sunday, May 31, 2026.

God sent his Son into the world to save the world. John 3:16-18.

Dear Parish Family,

This weekend is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. This feast invites us to consider what we believe about God, who has revealed himself to us in the Trinity—one God in three persons.

He sent His Son to us for our salvation not to condemn us. He sent the Holy Spirit
to be with us always. Through the Trinity we share a life of the love of God.
As we gather for worship, may we open our hearts to the grace that flows from the Trinity and allow that divine love to shape our relationships, our choices, and our mission in the world.

Let us live in the awareness of the presence of the Triune God within us: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Throughout the year we gather for service projects, retreats, social events, prayer, and plenty of laughter. Our young people were back at it again this past weekend helping those in need at the Ct FoodShare distribution in Norwalk. Our teens were truly the hands and face of Christ today, sharing kindness, compassion, and hope with those in need during our food distribution. ❤️

One year ago today, the white smoke billowed out of the Sistine Chapel as Pope Leo XIV was elected to be the 266th successor of Saint Peter. A lot has happened in these last twelve months and may God bless Pope Leo with many more years to come! Ad multos annos!

💛 Faith in Action! 💛

This Sunday, our youth group turned service into something truly meaningful.

We packed over 100 snack bags for Filling in the Blanks, helping ensure that children in need have something to eat after school. 🥪

We also joined in Operation Gratitude’s Pillowcase Project, decorating pillowcases that will be sent overseas in care packages—a small but powerful reminder of home, comfort, and love for our service men and women. 🇺🇸

These moments may seem simple, but they make a real impact. So proud of our teens for living their faith with open hearts and willing hands!

Prayer Vigil for Peace to use light from Lamp of Peace from Assisi
Pope Leo XIV's Prayer Vigil for Peace on Saturday, April 11, will be guided by meditations from early Church Fathers, including St. Augustine of Hippo, and will see faithful from different continents light candles with the fire from the Lamp of Peace from Assisi.

“Let us make heard the cry for peace that springs from our hearts! For this reason, I invite everyone to join me in a prayer vigil for peace, which we will celebrate here in St. Peter’s Basilica next Saturday, April 11.”

“I urge that this period of delicate diplomatic work be accompanied by prayer."

On Easter Sunday, during his Urbi et Orbi message and again at the close of his Wednesday General Audience on April 8, Pope Leo XIV extended these invitations to everyone around the world to join him in a Prayer Vigil for Peace that is set to be held in St. Peter’s Basilica on Saturday at 6:00 PM Rome time.

The announcements came in light of the ongoing violence in the Middle East. Despite the two-week ceasefire between Iran, Israel, and the US, the Pope reiterated the need for a dedicated time of prayer for peace as conflicts continue to rage on in Lebanon, Sudan, Ukraine, Yemen, and other countries around the world.

In today's Gospel, Jesus says “Peace be with you.” ✝️

In the midst of fear and doubt, Jesus comes to His disciples and reveals Himself—body and soul—reminding them (and us) that He is truly alive. He opens their minds, breaks bread with them, and calls them to be witnesses of His Resurrection.

May we recognize Him in the breaking of the bread and carry His peace into the world. 🙏
