For this week’s ✨Shabbat Spark✨, we recognize that every single one of us — whether we joining on the stream or in person, live or on-demand, whether we are Jewish or Jewish-adjacent or Jewish-curious — we are all Jews-by-choice because we are choosing to spend our precious time here, together, in prayer and sacred community.

We are deeply grateful that, thanks to your collective support and dedication, Temple Israel continues to thrive as a vibrant and flourishing congregation. TI’s membership has grown more than 60% over the past five years, which has inspired our clergy, staff and Board of Trustees to ask important questions about how our campus can support and nurture our growing congregation well into the future.

Fortunately, we were presented with the opportunity to purchase the property adjacent to Temple Israel at 6 Coleytown Road, and we are pleased to announce that we closed on the property on May 5. Read more in Westport Journal

Temple Israel Westport bought an adjoining two-acre property to accommodate a surge in membership. They now have 1,100 members.
