Greetings, First Baptist Church family and friends!

We invite you to join us at 9:30am tomorrow for our Morning Worship Service. Many of you are physically exhausted, mentally numb, and emotionally and spiritually drained. Come and fellowship with us, receive God's Word, and be strengthened for the days ahead.

If you can't worship with us in person, we encourage you to join us on our Facebook Livestream or later on YouTube.

If you are from the Weston area and don't have a church home, or if you are just visiting the area, we welcome you to our church.

Sunday School will begin immediately after Worship Service. Due to the recent flooding in our basement, the adults will meet as one class in the sanctuary. Melissa Skinner will lead this class.

Our elevator is currently OUT OF ORDER. We do not have access other than by using the stairs. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to have a remedy soon.

Do you have questions about your faith? Are you sometimes not sure what you actually believe about God, Jesus, and the Bible? Do you wonder why some Christians act as they do? Do you sometimes question your salvation? Has it been a while since you were last in church? Maybe you've never attended a church service.

If any of these questions resonate with you, I invite you to join us at the First Baptist Church of Weston each Sunday for the next 8-10 weeks as we try to answer them and many more. You are not alone if you have these questions. Whether you have been a faithful churchgoer for decades, haven't attended in years, or have never attended, we all have questions about the Bible, God, Jesus, the Church, and salvation.

Many of you have been hurt by a church at some point. Some have felt unwelcome, judged, ignored, and worse. Many feel unworthy of God's love because of sin and their past. I want to assure you that regardless of your past, you are welcome to join us at First Baptist of Weston.

Our service begins each Sunday at 9:30am. Sunday School begins immediately following our Worship Service around 10:45am. You are welcome to stay for Sunday School or leave after the Worship Service.

This Sunday's sermon concerns the authority of God's Word and is entitled "Can I Trust This Book?" I hope you will join us.

We have an UPDATED list of volunteer opportunities to assist with flood relief efforts is Lewis and Upshur Counties.

- Samaritans Purse is providing opportunities to serve homeowners through August 28th. You can register via the link in the comments.

- We also have teams serving at the Weston Senior Center on August 24th and August 29th. To volunteer, contact Evan Arkell at [email protected].

Are you interested in helping serve flood relief victims in Lewis and Upshur Counties? Here are the latest details on volunteer opportunities.

We also ask that you pray for those impacted by yesterday's flooding in Kanawha, Fayette and Raleigh Counties. Opportunities to serve in those areas will be shared once we have more information.
