UPWARD BASKETETBALL and CHEERLEADING games for Saturday, February 7th.

9 am - Jehovah Jumpers VS Bethlehem Ballers
9:45 am - Bible Blazers VS Goliath Slayers
10:30 am - David's Defenders VS Chosen Champions

Our Cheerleaders will be at game 2 and half of game 3 to cheer on the basketball players.

It's going to be another GREAT Saturday in The Abbey as we gather to watch and cheer the children on to victory in JESUS!

All concessions sales will be used to cover our entertainment Sam Sisley at the Awards Celebration on Saturday, February 21st at 9:30 am. All the more reason to come and cheer on the children!

Coming To The Westminster Abbey . . . The Youth Group SOUPERBOWL LUNCH!
Sunday, February 8th starting at 12 pm.

This IS a fun and delicious fundraiser. ALL donations benefit the youth group church camp fund to Lakeside, Ohio for June 2026.

You will have many, MANY varieties of soups to choose from.
Will you get to taste?

Beef Stew

Only way to find out is to show up and taste test 5, 11, 13 or 16 soups of your choice!

BLESSED - "Made Holy. Consecrated.
Favored. Graced. Sacred. Divine."

The Beatitudes use the word BLESSED. Do you feel blessed? Now? Ever? When doing a deeper study on The Beatitudes, we find that being 'blessed' has nothing to do with worldly success. They are about inner spiritual character and alignment with God's Kingdom.

I encourage you to Come Worship At Westminster Sunday at 10:30. We'll be looking at The Beatitudes that JESUS taught on. Also, to help you grow in your faith, join us at 9:15 for Sunday School for all ages.

As our sermon title says, 'Come Follow Me' to Church! (Welllllllllllll, actually it's JESUS speaking those words recorded in the Book of Matthew in the Holy Bible. So........Come Follow JESUS to The Westminster Abbey Church!

These questions came to mind as I prepared for Sunday's sermon:

1. How much do you think the disciples knew about Jesus when He came by the Sea of Galilee and said to them, “Come and follow Me?”

2. What do you think Jesus was doing between the time of His temptation and the time He called his first disciples to follow Him? It may not be what you think!

3. Why is it important for us to consider the cost of following Jesus before we start calling ourselves a Christian?

Do you have or know a youth in grades 5th through 12th grade?

The Westminster Abbey Church has an outstanding youth program Sunday evenings. Your youth will experience a safe, supportive, opportunities for spiritual growth, meaningful relationships, and positive personal development.

God loves us one and all. From the newborns, teens, young adult, boomers and seniors. God has blessed our Church with great adult youth leaders to lead the way for 5th through 12 graders.

All Welcome and encouraged to come.

Follow Me . . .
To School. To Bermuda. Through A Corn Maze. To Church. To Lunch. To The Car Dealership. To The Rockies. Line Dancing.

Are those places JESUS intended the Disciples to follow Him? I'm thinking highly unlikely (at that time). Where are we to take JESUS with us in this day and age? All of those locations and more!

IF JESUS were walking this earth at the moment you are reading this and came up beside, would you drop everything and follow Him at the drop of a hat? Would you tell Him to give you a 10-day notice? Would you try to fit that time with JESUS in your schedule?

We are encouraged to Follow JESUS in our every day lives as we buy groceries, at class reunions, on the phone, via text or email. Everywhere we go, JESUS is with us, sandals and all, through the snow, sunshine, storms or showers of life.

Come Worship At Westminster Sunday at 10:30 am and we'll unpack the Scripture from Matthew, chapter 4, verses 12-23 during the sermon. Follow JESUS.
