“Hi everyone! My name is Gracee, I’m 23 years old, a wife, and a mama to a sweet one-year-old boy. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we’ve been together for seven years. Most importantly, I’m a daughter of Christ.
My walk with Jesus started when I was very young. I was raised in church, surrounded by faith, worship, prayer, and people who taught me what it means to follow Christ.
Today, I have the privilege of serving as a worship leader, but I also know that my relationship with God has been built through so much more than the beautiful moments.
Since I was 15, I have walked through my own journey with mental health—the good, the hard, and the ugly. I’ve experienced seasons where I felt strong in my faith and seasons where I felt completely overwhelmed, lost, and low. I’ve learned that loving Jesus doesn’t mean we never struggle. It means that even in the struggle, we have someone to run to.
Becoming a mother brought another part of that journey that I never expected. I walked through postpartum anxiety and depression, and I found myself falling into a very low place again. There were days when getting through the day felt like a victory. But through every season, God continued to meet me right where I was.
And I’ve learned something: CHOOSING GOD IS A DAILY DECISION.
Some days that looks like worship. Some days it looks like prayer through tears. Some days it looks like leaning on my husband, my family, and my friends when I don’t have the strength to carry everything myself. And some days, it simply looks like getting up and choosing Jesus again.
That is why I feel so deeply called to reach women of all ages. I want this ministry to be a place where women know they don’t have to have it all together to belong. A place where we can be honest about the things we face, encourage one another, pray for one another, and remind each other of who God says we are.
I want women to know that their hardest season does not disqualify them from being used by God. Their anxiety does not make them weak. Their past does not define them. Their motherhood does not make them any less worthy of being called. Their struggles do not make them any less loved.
For a while now, I’ve been praying about this calling and feeling God lead me toward something that would allow me to reach women of all ages. I didn’t know exactly what it would look like, but I knew God was placing it on my heart.
Then, just last week, a very special woman in my life spoke words that confirmed what I had been praying about and what I had been feeling God lead me toward. It was one of those moments where I knew God was giving me confirmation through someone He had placed in my life for a reason.
I’m walking into this calling with her wise words close to my heart:
“God won’t waste your story.”
“Not mine. Yours. Or others”
Those words mean so much to me because I know firsthand that God can use every part of our story. He doesn’t waste the seasons we wish we could forget. He doesn’t waste the tears, the valleys, the battles, the struggles, or the moments when we wondered how we were going to make it through.
He can take the parts of our story that once broke us and use them to help someone else heal, grow, and find Him.
If my story can remind even one woman that she is not alone, that God has not forgotten her, and that there is still purpose on the other side of the valley, then every hard season has been worth it for me.
So as we begin this ministry, devotion, prayer group, and support together, my prayer is simple: that we choose God every single day, seek Him in every season, and never walk through this life alone.
I’m so grateful to be here, and I’m so excited to see what God is going to do through each and every one of us.”
