Church of the Ascension SUNDAY SERVICES
Everyone is welcome to attend our Sunday worship services at 8:00 am and 10:15 am.

Church of the Ascension is the Green "Omicron" Phase of the COVID-19 Safeguards. Masks are optional, but strongly encouraged, at worship services and other activities. Communion -- The Sacred Bread and Common Cup are both offered. Both choral and congregational singing may take place unmasked. Serving of food, beverages and snacks may return to pre pandemic practices.

This Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 pm, Church of the Ascension will host a ceremony organized by the Carroll County Coalition of the Maryland Lynching Memorial Project, in partnership with the Equal Justice Initiative, to honor the life of Townsend Cook, a 20-year-old Black man lynched by a white mob in Westminster, MD on June 2nd, 1885.

THIS SUNDAY: Join the Carroll County Coalition of the MLMP for the historic marker dedication honoring Townsend Cook on June 7th, at 1:00pm. The ceremony will begin at the Church of the Ascension (23 N. Court Street) in Westminster after which attendees will transition to the unveiling of the marker.
