REMEMBERING BARNEY

Barney Whitefish was over in Hydesville the other day when
he happened to met up with the
preacher. It just so happened
that where they met was across
the street from the new theater
that had come to town. They chatted for a bit, and then Barney noticed the movie on the sign was “The Invisible Man”. “Now that might be something to see, said Barney. “Well,” said the preacher, “I don’t go to the theater, but if he is “Invisible”, how can you see him…?!”

When George Fox was a teenager, he worked for a man who
made shoes and also raised and
sold cattle, dealing in wool. George handled a lot of money.

What is the Main Ingredient of
WD-40?

“Water Displacement #40”. The
product began from a search for a
rust preventative solvent and
degreaser to protect missile
parts. WD-40 was created in
1953, by three technicians at
the San Diego Rocket Chemical
Company. Its name comes from
the project that was to find a
‘Water Displacement’ Compound.
They were finally successful with
a formulation on their fortieth at-
tempt, thus WD-40.
As for that Basic, Main Ingre-dient...Well...it’s FISH OIL…
The Convair Company bought
it in bulk to protect their Atlas mis-
sile parts.
Ken East (one of the original
founders) says there is nothing in
WD-40 that would hurt you. When
you read the ‘shower door’ part,
try it. It’s the first thing that has
ever cleaned that spotty shower
door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as on glass. It’s a miracle! Then try it on your stove top. It’s now shinier than it’s ever
been. You’ll be amazed.

REMEMBERING BARNEY

When the preacher stopped by Barney Whitefish’s place the
other day, he found Barney siting out by the chicken coop with
his gun. “What are you doing out
here with your gun, Barney?” asked the preacher. “Well,” answered Barney, “The neighbor told me
he saw a hawk flying around this
morning and I was making sure it
didn’t try to get one of our chickens.” “Good idea,” said the preacher. They chatted a bit including
some about Barney’s gun. Then
Barney said, “Preacher, if there
were three birds over there on the
fence and I shot one, how many
birds would be left?” “That is simple,” answered the preacher. “3
minus 1 would be 2 birds.” “No,”
said Barney, “There would be “0”,
because when I shot the one bird,
the other two would fly away….!?”
