Join us this Sunday for the second Introduction to Buddhism meeting of the month. You will hear from a member who will share their personal experience, providing proof of how this practice has benefited their life. Chief Priest, Rev. Takikawa will also speak on a core concept of Buddhism, designed to be insightful and informative for all our new guests.

Join us for an Introduction to Buddhism meeting on Sunday, May 24 at 11am. A large group of Myohoji Temple members will have just come back from Tozan - a deeply significant spiritual pilgrimage to the Head Temple, Taisekiji, in Japan. They will bring back with them an elevated, joyful life-condition from their time expressing gratitude before the Dai-Gohonzon. Join us next Sunday, 5/24 to share in their immense fortune. A member will share their personal experience and Chief Priest, Rev. Takikawa will share a brief lecture to help deepen our understanding of Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism and how this profound practice benefits our lives.

These beautiful grounds are part of Head Temple Taisekiji in Japan, nestled at the foot of majestic Mount Fuji. Here, Nichiren Shoshu Buddhists make regular pilgrimages to express gratitude, deepen their faith, and receive profound benefit by praying to the Dai-Gohonzon.

With that same spirit, we’re beginning the new year with our first Introduction to Buddhism meeting on Sunday, January 18 at 11am, at Myohoji Temple.

This morning at Myohoji Temple, Nichiren Shoshu Buddhists marked the first day of 2026 with a rejuvenating Gongyo led by Chief Priest, Reverend Takikawa.

On the main altar, rice cake and fruit offerings were made to the True Buddha and the Gohonzon, symbolizing gratitude and faith. The act of offering helps deepen our connection with our beliefs.

As we begin 2026 together, may our shared faith inspire harmony, wisdom, and compassionate action toward world peace.
