2 Corinthians 12:2
English Standard Version
2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows.
Acts 8:38-40
English Standard Version
38 And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eu**ch, and he baptized him. 39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eu**ch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through, he preached the gospel to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

These passages show the overwhelming experiences that characterize the life and ministry of followers of Jesus—like the ability God has to transport his messengers either physically or spiritually to different locations to speak his word to his people. The Apostle Paul had a vision of heaven so real that he didn’t know whether he was in the body or out of the body. Philip the Evangelist, after his amazing encounter with the Ethiopian eu**ch on the desert road to Gaza, was transported instantly and physically to Azotus where he continued his preaching ministry. Don’t make the mistake of limiting God or thinking that God doesn’t do these things anymore. I know he does. Christians are so worried that they will be labeled in a negative way or thought to be unbalanced that they close themselves off from experiencing all the power that God has for them. Be open to the rush of the Holy Spirit, the voice of God or divine transportation. Praise be to God! Have a safe and blessed day.

Matthew 6:33
New Revised Standard Version
33 But strive first for the kingdom of God[a] and his[b] righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

When your first priority is following Christ and seeking God’s will in your life, I believe that you place yourself in a situation that results in God giving you all you require. God takes care of his own. He always has. When you focus on God you may be missing out on what the world thinks is important, but you will never miss out on what God thinks is important. Let us commit to pursuing the Kingdom because God gives life, and the world does not. May God richly bless you as you grow in holiness. Have a safe and blessed day.

Isaiah 43:18-19
English Standard Version
18 “Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.

I have noticed when counseling people with depression that often they are stuck in the past. They cannot move forward and have lost hope. Even when things look hopeless, followers of Jesus can go to God’s Word and find reasons to be hopeful. God is going to make a way in the wilderness and rivers will flow through the desert. God is always with us and is working on our behalf. Don’t get stuck in the past. Let us move forward as God leads us. He has good plans for us. Let us praise Him daily for what He is doing. God is truly good. Have a safe and blessed day.

John 3:17
English Standard Version
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

After three degrees from three universities, I have to say that all the degrees in the world cannot protect us from moral decay. Partial education is far worse than none at all if we educate the mind but not the soul. The mercy the world needs is the grace, love and peace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Understanding the transforming and regenerating power of Jesus is what the world needs more than anything else. Praise be to God that he offers that transforming power to all who seek Him. Have a safe and blessed day.

Isaiah 46:4
Amplified Bible
4
Even to your old age I am He,
And even to your advanced old age I will carry you!
I have made you, and I will carry you;
Be assured I will carry you and I will save you.

As some of us age, this passage is one to memorize. It is good to remind God of His Word. This passage not only refers to those who may be having health or emotional issues, but also for loved ones who are caregivers as well. Our daily burdens can really get us down and I believe God’s Word is extremely beneficial when going through some of life’s challenges. Today I claim this passage for all of us and am assured of its promise! Have a safe and blessed day.

Ephesians 2:8-9
English Standard Version
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Paul David Tripp said, “It’s grace! It’s grace! God will take you where you haven’t chosen to go in order to produce in you what you could not achieve on your own. That’s glorious grace.” When we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord and put our faith in Him we receive grace because of that faith. We cannot earn grace or our salvation because it is a gift. Every time God blesses us with his loving grace, we need to take time to thank him. We also need to humbly receive that grace. As we grow to be more Christ like, we need to learn to apply grace to others and also receive grace from others. Both of these are impossible without love and humility. Let us all grow to be more and more like Christ. Have a safe and blessed day.

Psalm 32:5
New Revised Standard Version
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

I truly believe God wants to help us grow in the faith, but if we cannot be honest with ourselves and acknowledge our sins, how can God help us? It is so important to be real with God. He already knows what we are in denial about so why not take an honest approach and confess our sins and ask God to forgive us and help us deal with these tough issues. Always remember, God loves you, and he is a God who forgives. Praise be to God for his grace, mercy and forgiveness. Have a safe and blessed day.
