It is with a heavy heart and great sense of loss that we announce the passing of our brother in Christ, devoted father, beloved pastor, and President of MBCH, Dr. Juston Gates. Dr. Gates was recently hospitalized for injuries sustained on a business-related hunting trip, and he eventually succumbed to those injuries on April 23, 2026 at 12:02am.

Dr. Gates went to be with the Lord with his family standing by his side. He was well known for his love of and obedient service to Jesus Christ. He had a deep love for his family, both his family at home as well as his MBCH family. Dr. Gates will be greatly missed by all those who knew him, and we continue to welcome prayers for his family and friends, as well as for MBCH leadership as we mourn this great loss.

A Memorial service for Dr. Juston Gates will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, Details to follow.

Day 7: Southwest Baptist University Center for Global Connections - Pray for:
• Team members to learn to share the gospel, stay focused, and be open to God’s calling
• God to continue calling students to the team

Day 6: Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief - Pray for:
• Continued funding to carry on the ministry of Missouri Baptist DR
• More volunteers to help people like Nancy

Day 5: Last fall, the Baptist Student Union at TSU saw three students come to faith in Christ, six students baptized, and more than 40 engaged in spiritual conversations. Pray for:
• The annual spring break trip, which includes community service and is attended by nonbelievers and believers alike
• More gospel conversations at Truman State and other college campuses across Missouri

Day 3: Missouri Baptist Children's Home (MBCH) provides a multitude of services with the purpose of connecting children, youth, and families to hope, healing, and restoration. Pray for:
• God to bring Christian staff to the MBCH team, that they might minister to clients
• Opportunities to openly share the gospel to receptive clients

Day 2: Vacation Bible School (VBS) regional training events help MBC churches prepare for their VBS programs. Attendees are given resources and taught strategies to make their VBS more effective. Pray for:
• Safe travels and smooth preparation for those who lead VBS regional training
• Attendees to use what they learn and be encouraged
