Samaritans Closet and Pantry is nonprofit thrift store and food pantry supported by Wayne County's Christian Community. The thrift store offers clothing, household goods, and furniture for sale to the general public. All profits from the operation of the thrift store support the operation of a "no cost" food pantry and cover the overhead costs of the ministry . There is an application / approval p

rocess in place to determine eligibility for those in need of food pantry or thrift store items. Samaritans Closet & Pantry is a local agency supported by the United Way of the Pine Belt Region, seeking to improve lives in Wayne County, Mississippi.

Public Notice

Samaritans Closet and Pantry will Re-Certify all participants in the Monthly Food Aid Program on Friday, Janurary 9th (for week 2 participants) and Friday ,January 16th (for week 3 participants).

New applicants are welcome to apply either Friday.

This year, Re-Certification will take place at the City Auditorium, located at 1008 Benton St., Waynesboro, MS.

You MUST come to the City Auditorium to Re-Certify, BEFORE going to the Ministry Building to receive your food.

Re-Certification times are from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM each Friday.

Samaritans will be closing Friday December 19th at 5:00 pm for the Christmas holidays. We will reopen January 5th. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY DONATIONS OUTSIDE THE MINISTRY DURING THIS TIME AS THIS CREATES A BURDEN FOR THE MINISTRY.
