Good afternoon! I know I have been inactive on this page the last several months. I have been busy studying and completing my coursework with the National Christian Counselor Association to earn my License to begin building the Beacon of Hope's counseling ministry. I am excited to share that I have completed all requirements and am now a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor, Advanced Certification. I am also continuing on with my education to earn a second doctorate in Clinical Christian Counseling to better serve the counseling ministry.
With that being said, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce the Beacon of Hope's counseling ministry, The Lighthouse Counsel. The Lighthouse Counsel is a non-profit LLC established to provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families based on a Biblical principles and a blend of my formal psychology training and NCAA's Temperament Therapy. The Lighthouse Counsel operates out of its home church, Bridgeway Church, but is available to serve Wayne County and surrounding areas.
The Lighthouse Counsel is a ministry first, therefore it operates on a sliding fee scale to offer services at a significantly reduced rate. Extenuating circumstances are considered and rates are negotiable based on need in order to ensure that counseling is accessible to everyone. Starting next year, I will be begin fundraising and looking for grants to set up funds for those who cannot otherwise afford counseling services.
