*Night to Shine Waverly is still open to everyone to attend who has developmental disabilities ages 14 and up. Nothing will change in that aspect and will remain the same as previous years. We shortened the name to make things a little smoother.

*If you would like a copy of the 2027 sponsorship form emailed to you, please submit your email address to us in Messenger. We can also mail one out via USPS if you would prefer that.

*We will schedule another meeting for the middle or so of August. We really need people to participate in the planning stages. We know it seems like February is a long time away, but it will creep up on us and be here before we know it. Now is the time to put in the work to obtain sponsorships and spread the word about Night to Shine! We have many things that we have to work on starting now in order to be ready for that Night. Many of these things must be done well ahead of time in order to be ready.

*To help with overcrowding, we will need to enforce the use of the respite area by parents and caregivers who are not buddies. This is for everyone’s safety.

*We will be offering sponsors to set up a small table in the respite area to advertise their business, etc. This will be something new for this year that we are testing to help with offering guests information for local businesses and the services they offer.

*More information to come soon. As soon as I have a date verified for an August meeting, I will get that posted. Please try to make it to the next meeting. I can’t make this important magical night happen without your help!

Night to Shine – Waverly, Ohio Needs You!

Our community’s Night to Shine in Waverly, Ohio is an incredible event that celebrates individuals with special needs and gives them a prom night experience centered on dignity, joy, and love. But this event takes a lot of work long before the big night arrives.

Right now, we urgently need:
✨ Committed Volunteers – Not just the night of the event, but in the weeks leading up to it. Decorating, organizing, planning, set-up, and clean-up all require dependable hands and willing hearts.
📦 Storage Help – We need space to safely store decorations, supplies, and materials before and after the event. I have been paying for this storage unit for the past year out of my own pocket and cannot afford to continue doing so.
💵 Financial Support – Donations help cover venue costs, food, decorations, DJ and many other special touches that make the evening magical for our honored guests.

This event cannot happen without *strong, committed* community support. If we do not have enough committed volunteers who show up *consistently* and help with preparation, we may not be able to host Night to Shine in Waverly again next year.

We want to continue blessing families in our area, but we cannot do it alone.
