What if the most difficult prayer you could pray is also the most powerful?
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:23-24).
Most of us spend our lives thinking about our appearances, hiding our struggles, and keeping certain "rooms" of our hearts locked. We let God into the Sunday morning room but keep the doors shut on our anger, addiction, fear, and shame.
David's prayer in Psalm 139 wasn't about informing God—He already knows everything. It was about inviting God in. God doesn't expose us to shame us; He exposes us to heal us.
Stop hiding what He already knows. Stop carrying the weight of what He already died for. Go ahead and tell Him: "Search me, O God." Let the healing begin where honesty starts!
