What if the most difficult prayer you could pray is also the most powerful?

"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:23-24).

Most of us spend our lives thinking about our appearances, hiding our struggles, and keeping certain "rooms" of our hearts locked. We let God into the Sunday morning room but keep the doors shut on our anger, addiction, fear, and shame.

David's prayer in Psalm 139 wasn't about informing God—He already knows everything. It was about inviting God in. God doesn't expose us to shame us; He exposes us to heal us.

Stop hiding what He already knows. Stop carrying the weight of what He already died for. Go ahead and tell Him: "Search me, O God." Let the healing begin where honesty starts!

Your words are powerful.

They can heal or destroy, build trust or break relationships. In a world that seems to be make it so easy to lie and deceive, we're called to speak righteously.

This Sunday, Pastor Kanon used Psalm 58 to remind us that lies begin in the heart... But the Holy Spirit is here to transform our hearts, which in turn will transform our words. The same Spirit that empowered Peter to boldly preach Jesus after denying Him three times is with all of us today!

We don't overcome a world of lies by screaming louder than everyone else. We overcome by becoming people transformed by Jesus—people who speak truth with grace, pursue justice without revenge, and forgive like Christ forgave us. At the cross, Jesus took on the judgment we deserved so we could receive the grace we don't deserve!

Let your words reflect Christ. Let your life point others to the TRUTH of the gospel.

"Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you'd ever want to pay."

This Sunday, Pastor Gwen walked us through David's journey from thought to temptation, compromise to destruction—and finally to confession and restoration.

King David was called "a man after God's own heart" - not because he was perfect, but because he knew how to repent. When he was confronted with his sin in Psalm 51, he prayed: "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me." His broken spirit brought back his joy, his worship, and his purpose!

The same God who forgave David can forgive you! Confession isn't the doorway to condemnation—it's the doorway back to fellowship, freedom, and joy. Whatever you're carrying today, lay it down. Jesus paid the price so you could walk forgiven and free!

Your story matters!

Not because it's perfect, but because God is writing something bigger through it.

This Mother's Day, Rachel and the Youth led the service and reminded us that God uses the unlikely, the uncertain, the hidden, the broken, and the doubting. Just like Matthew, Moses, Esther, Peter, and Thomas—ordinary people whose stories became extraordinary when they let God step in.

Our students shared honest testimonies of how Jesus is changing their lives right now. From anxiety to addiction, loneliness to identity struggles—God is meeting them exactly where they are.

Romans 8:28 promises that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him. Your doubts, your failures, your questions... none of it is wasted.

Don't let the enemy persuade you into keeping your testimony to yourself. Your story can overcome him in a loud way! Someone around you may be waiting to see what a real relationship with Jesus looks like... Will you let them see it?!

Your soul is listening to something every single day. The question is: what are you allowing it to hear?

This past Sunday, Pastor Kanon took us through Psalm 43, where David shows us the power of preaching truth to ourselves. When feelings of fear, doubt, or defeat start speaking loud, we have a choice—just listen, or actually speak back with GOD's truth. David didn't deny his struggles, but he refused to let his emotions have the final word. He asked himself, "Why am I discouraged?" then commanded his soul: "Put your hope in God!"

If you truly trust and belong to Jesus, He already lives inside you. You're not ever empty, powerless, or alone. We can pray for discernment to understand when our soul may be whispering lies, and we can choose to preach truth back into ourselves! When doubt says "I can't," preach "God is my strength!" When fear says "I'm stuck," proclaim over yourself that "God's NOT done!"

Don't just listen to your thoughts. Preach to your soul and let the TRUTH in you change everything.
