Holy Stitches, Waupun Wisconsin A group that makes & donates knit and crocheted items such as activity muffs & mats, lap robes, shawls, hats, mits, etc. On occasion, we have guest speakers.

We also make sleeping mats for the homeless. Meet 1st and 3rd Tues at St Joes, open to all, need not be a member of St Joes. We meet the first and third Tues of each month (10:00 AM to noon) at St Joseph's Church in Waupun. We make items such as shawls, lap robes, baby items, hats, mittens, scarves, and "activity muffs" for dementia patients. All are donated to anyone who needs these. Our meeting

s are very informal and people come and go as their schedules permit. Feel free to join us--or message us to learn more about what we do! Meetings are open to the public. Yarn is provided. We also have snacks and coffee available. We also welcome any monetary donations or yarn, ribbon, beanie babies and certain baby toys which we use for inside the activity muffs.

At a time when we hear about so much bad in this world, let's take a moment to rejoice in the Good!

Good is a member from across the state who purchases bedding for one of our favorite charities, SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE , the organization that makes beds for children who don't have beds. (Believe me, there are a LOT of kids who go without!)

Good is the person who tells another about us and they donate a bag full of new items for children in need.

This is just part of a large donation I received this morning. ❤️

We had a great meeting! We received such cute "Thank you" cards from the 3rd graders at Rock River School.. They enjoyed designing their own hats and then seeing the finished product. It was fun for our members to see all the cute cards they made.

And....as usual, our members turned in some amazing items! They love using their time snd talents to help others.

Deputy Landheer from the Dodge County Sheriff's office was the guest speaker at our meeting today. We presented him with fleece blankets, mobius (crocheted activity)balls, and hats. He talked about the need for these items and how they would be used by members of the community. We would like to thank Deputy Landheer for taking the time to come speak to us. We enjoyed his very interesting and informative presentation and are honored to use our time and talents to make items to help others.
