We explore the parable of the weeds and seeds from Matthew 13: If you can’t understand why Matthew would spend all this time recording a text like this to just say don’t worry God will take care of it, then maybe there is another way you can look at it. Maybe you can look at it as a story of God defeating the evil one stopping his nefarious plan to limit and cripple the growing kingdom of God.

The devil doesn’t want the Kingdom to grow, and so this was created an ingenious sabotage plan was to get the very followers of God to prevent this from happening. If they put weeds in the garden, if the groups would not all be the same, not all be following God, the the most passionate amongst them (the very highest threat group) would for sure try to take vindictive action immediately.

They would for sure try and get rid of that which they perceived to be a threat in their midst. And as we see in the text, they would damage the Kingdom growth in the process.
