As National Gun Violence Prevention Month begins in June, Antioch Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa, stands in solidarity with those affected by gun violence, grieving with the families and recommitting to peace. The Bible teaches us: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9) We affirm that every life, created in God's likeness, holds inherent value and deserves protection. Gun violence leaves deep scars on communities, families, and our collective faith. This month, let's focus on: Praying for healing and comfort for those affected Building awareness through learning, listening, and understanding Taking action to build safer and more compassionate communities We invite all to join us in prayer, dialogue, and action. Let's be the beacon of hope and peace, standing for life in all its forms. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

They wandered through the wilderness with cracked lips and desperate hearts — and still, God showed up.
In Exodus 17, the Israelites stood at Massah and Meribah, convinced the desert had won. The well was dry. The crowd was restless. And Moses was caught between the people’s panic and God’s promise. Sound familiar?
This Sunday, Pastor Charles J. Daniel opens the Word with a message that will speak directly to every dry season, every unanswered prayer, every moment you’ve wondered if God forgot your address.
“The Parable of the Dried Up Oasis”
Exodus 17:1–7
“When the well runs dry, God is still your source.”
Because the rock didn’t move on its own — God spoke to it. And He’s still speaking to yours.
