Dylan Thomas’s powerful poem, “Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night,” reminds us of the preciousness of life, the strength of the human spirit, and the love that carries us through even our darkest moments.

Through faith, we find courage in life’s challenges and comfort in God’s promise of eternal life. Though our time on earth may be fleeting, His love is everlasting, and through Him, we find hope that death is not the end, but the beginning of eternal peace.

Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight
By: Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Some of life's greatest friendships don't need words.

On National Pets for Veterans Day, we celebrate the special bond between our nation's veterans and the animals who bring joy, comfort, and unconditional love into their lives.

For those who have given so much in service to our country, a faithful companion can offer something truly priceless, a listening ear, a comforting presence, and a friendship that never wavers.

Today, we honor our veterans and the four-legged friends who remind us that love, loyalty, and companionship can make a world of difference.

Sometimes, heroes need heroes, too.

✝️Religious figures of the Church St. Isaac Jogues ✝️

Born in France in 1607, St. Isaac Jogues was a Jesuit missionary whose life became a remarkable example of faith, perseverance, and devotion to God.

In 1636, he traveled to New France (present-day Canada) to share the Gospel with Indigenous communities. His missionary work brought tremendous challenges, including harsh living conditions, illness, and danger. In 1642, he was captured by Mohawk warriors and endured months of captivity and torture. Despite his suffering, he remained steadfast in his faith.

After escaping and returning to France, St. Isaac Jogues made the extraordinary decision to return to North America, determined to continue his mission of peace and evangelization. In 1646, he was killed near present-day Auriesville, New York, becoming one of the first Catholic martyrs in North America.

Canonized in 1930, St. Isaac Jogues is remembered as one of the eight North American Martyrs. Today we celebrate his feast day.

His life reminds us that faith is not measured by the absence of hardship, but by the courage to trust in God through life's greatest challenges.

St. Isaac Jogues, pray for us.

Today, on National Cremation Placement Day, we remember that every life deserves to be honored—and every family deserves a meaningful place to remember.

For families who have been keeping a loved one’s cremated remains at home, today can be an opportunity to consider creating a permanent place of rest.

Within the peaceful grounds of a cemetery, a loved one’s name and memory become part of a place that family members can return to for generations; a place to visit, pray, share stories and simply feel close.

For Christians, it can also be a beautiful expression of faith: lovingly laying our loved ones to rest while trusting in God's promise of eternal life.

If you have a loved one’s cremated remains in your care and aren't sure what your next step should be, we are here to answer questions, explain your options and help you find a resting place that feels right for your family.

May those who have gone before us rest in peace, and may their memories remain forever in the hearts of those who love them.

Every life leaves behind a story worth remembering.

When cremated remains are kept at home, families may not always consider what will happen to them years, or even generations from now. A permanent resting place helps ensure that a loved one’s memory, name and story have a place to endure.

From niches and memorials to traditional burial and other meaningful options, cremation offers families many ways to create a lasting tribute.

As National Cremation Placement Day approaches, we encourage families caring for a loved one’s cremated remains to consider giving them a permanent place where future generations can visit, reflect and remember.

A final resting place isn't about letting go of someone we love. It's about creating a place where their memory can always be found.

Just as the seasons change, so do the chapters of our lives. There are seasons of joy and celebration, seasons of growth and new beginnings, and seasons of loss and reflection.

Through every season, we are reminded that life is a beautiful gift, filled with moments that shape us, memories that stay with us, and love that never fades.

As the leaves begin to change and autumn settles in, may we find comfort in knowing that God's love remains constant through every season of life. May we embrace each day with gratitude, cherish the people who fill our hearts, and trust in His perfect timing.

Did you know that an estimated 25% of American homes have cremated remains inside?

That means, technically speaking, one in four American homes could be considered a cemetery.

Choosing cremation is a deeply personal decision—but deciding what comes next is just as important.

For many families, a loved one’s cremated remains stay at home for months, years or even decades while they consider the right permanent resting place.

As National Cremation Placement Day approaches, we encourage families to think about the future. Choosing a permanent place of rest gives your loved one a lasting location where family and friends can visit, remember, pray and feel connected for generations to come.

If you have cremated remains at home, it’s never too late to find a meaningful place for them.
