One Nation Under God

Day 22 of 50

MICHIGAN

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, I’m Bradley Trask. I pastor in the Great Lakes State of Michigan. Would you join with me in prayer?

Heavenly Father, I thank You that on this 250th birthday of America, we can call upon Your Name. And Lord, today we come together, and in great part, we feel as though we’re like the prodigal in a distant land.

Lord, we’ve left Your lordship and we’ve drifted. Lord, we’ve gone looking for satisfaction in places that could never provide it. I ask for a spiritual awakening. Just as that prodigal came to his senses and realized how far he had gone, would we realize, Lord, how far we have drifted from You? May we get up and return to You.

I pray for our churches in Michigan and across our nation. I pray for believers to call upon You in a fresh way. I pray for prodigals to come home.

And Lord, we ask these favors because we know that only You can provide satisfaction in life. Only You can provide that peace of God.

I ask this in Jesus’ strong and mighty Name, knowing that You’ll welcome us home as a nation and as the people of God. We ask these favors in Jesus’ strong and mighty Name. Amen.

Day 21 of 50

TRANSCRIPT

Hi, my name is Marco DeBarros. I’m a pastor in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and I would like us to pray Psalm 85:6 over our nation. It says, “Won’t You revive us again so Your people can rejoice in You?” So, Father, we come to Your presence to plead with You to revive our nation again.

Father, we need You to move in a mighty way. Lord, we come and ask You, Jesus, to bring about another awakening that would sweep through every single state, and it will bring many to the saving knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, I’d like to lift up specifically the youth of our nation. Lord, we pray for a move of Your Holy Spirit to get ahold of their hearts, their minds, and their souls, to bring them to understanding of who You are and Your will and Your purpose for their lives.

Lord, revive us, Lord. Lord, do a mighty work right here in the state of Massachusetts. We want to see a youth revival, God. We want to see You permeate the high schools and the colleges in our area, in our city, in our region, in our nation, Lord.

Lord Jesus, we stand in Your promises, in Your Word. Won’t You revive us again, so that Your people can rejoice in You?

Thank You, Lord. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen. God bless you.

Hi, my name is Ed Michael, and I am a pastor at Eastern Assembly of God in Baltimore, Maryland.

Today I want to pray for churches across America. Let us pray.

Father, I thank You for the privilege of coming directly to You through the shed blood of Christ. Thank You for that privilege.

Today I lift up churches across America. Lord, we are Your representation of Jesus to this world, Your body. Father, forgive us for not always representing You well. Lord, forgive us for our complacency. Forgive us for deserting our prayer closets for other things.

Lord, call us back to intimacy with You. Revive prayer intimacy in Your churches, Father. Light a fire.

Lord, Your Word says judgment begins in the house of the Lord, and Father, I believe that means we must get things right before we expect the world to.

Father, I pray for pastors across our land. Lord, they need Your help. It’s a tough hour to be a pastor. Strengthen those pastors, their families, their marriages. Keep them at this hour with Your mighty strength.

Father, I pray for unity in the body of Christ. Lord, You prayed that we would be one as You and the Father are one. Grant that unity to churches, Lord, that hold fast to Your Word and the lordship of Jesus Christ. Lord, unite us.

Father, I pray, Lord, for evangelism in our churches, God. Just as You turned the church, Lord, away outside of Jerusalem in the book of Acts, do it again, Lord. Draw our attention away from ourselves to a lost world around us. Give us Your heart for this world, Lord.

I pray that many might come to Christ in these final days, that You would be glorified in that. Lord, thank You for Your church. You love Your church, and we’re believing, Father, that You are going to build Your church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.

I thank You for that. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. God bless you.

Day 19 of 50

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, everyone! My name is Matt Gioia, and I pastor The Pines Church in Bangor, Maine, and I would love to invite you to join me in praying for this great nation. Let us pray.

Dear Heavenly Father, we enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. Father, we thank You that we are celebrating 250 years as a sovereign nation. That simply would not be possible without Your provision and Your protection.

But Father, even in the midst of that milestone, truth has come under attack. You warn us in Your Word, what good is salt if it’s lost its saltiness? And what good is a light if you hide it under a bushel?

Father, we repent for being lukewarm, for not speaking up when truth has come under attack. Your Word, in the book of Proverbs, says that the righteous are as bold as lions. I ask for that anointing of boldness to rest on the Church, big C, all over this nation.

You said one of the distinguishing marks of a believer is to love what You love and hate what You hate. Father, I pray that we would be bold in distinguishing good from evil, right from wrong, and, Father, that there would be just a mass revival filling every church in this nation—churches in the city, churches in the country, large churches, small churches, Father. I pray that this nation would turn its heart back to You and that You would receive all of the glory and all of the honor.

It’s in Jesus’ mighty Name that we pray, amen. Thank you so much for standing with us in faith.

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, my name is Dennis Watson. I’m a pastor from the great state of Louisiana. Today it’s my privilege to lead us in praying for revival and spiritual awakening to come to our nation. So please join me as we pray.

Our Heavenly Father, we come to You today on behalf of the United States of America, praying for revival and spiritual awakening to come to our nation.

We thank You for how You’ve blessed our nation in times past. But today, we’re praying for a new move of God to sweep across our nation, transforming people’s lives and people’s circumstances and people’s relationships, and bringing transformation to the moral and spiritual climates or cultures in the communities and cities throughout our nation.

Lord, although we have been incredibly blessed as a nation, we know that we are surrounded by a sea of broken hearts, broken lives, and broken relationships. People’s hearts have been broken because of the losses and tragedies they’ve experienced. People’s lives have been broken because of the tragic choices they or others have made, and people’s relationships have been broken because of disagreements and disasters in their lives. But today we come to You, O God, on behalf of all these people. We ask You to bring help and hope and healing to people’s hearts and lives and relationships.

You are the God who saves. You are the God who helps. You’re the God who heals and delivers people from the struggles and from the strongholds of their lives. Lord, we pray for churches across our nation, that they would rise up to be the community transformation ministries that You have called them to be. Empower them to not only minister to the people in their church family, but to also be bearers of compassion and help and hope to the people around them in their communities.

And Lord, in Your Word, You have said, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” Lord, we desperately need healing in our land, and we believe that You’re the only one who can make that happen.

Day 17 of 50

Dedicated to Pastors

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, I’m Steve Pearson from Lexington, Kentucky, and today we’re going to pray for pastors in our country. So let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, we know on Jesus’ last night on Earth, that He quoted Zechariah 13:7, which says, if you strike the shepherd, the sheep will scatter. Lord, we know You love Your pastors and Your shepherds, and the enemy hates them.

We know as a pastor goes, a church goes; and as a church goes, a city goes; and as a city goes, a nation goes. So, Lord, we pray for pastors today. Help them. We ask that You’d give them favor. We ask that You would help them to grow in leadership skill. Protect their health, their marriages, their grandchildren. And Lord, we pray that You would give them a spirit of wisdom.

Father, keep their hearts pure. Give them margin and rest. Keep them from pride and being offended, Lord. And I pray that their sermons and their messages would come only from Scripture. Anoint them. Bless their study time and use the pulpit to bring revival.

Lord, I pray for vision for pastors in our country. And we pray, Lord, that pastors would come together in every state and every city for the cause of Christ and for Biblical unity.

And, Lord, I last pray that there would be a whole new generation of pastors and shepherds that You would raise up to tend Your flock in the precious Name of Jesus. Amen.

Day 16 of 50

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, my name is Pastor Chad McDonald, and I have the great privilege of representing the great state of Kansas for this prayer initiative, One Nation Under God. Would you join me in prayer today?

Lord, as we come before You today, we come with grateful hearts, grateful for this wonderful nation.

And we pray specifically today for every soldier, every airman, every sailor, every Marine, every Guardian who serves to protect the freedoms that we enjoy every day and far too often take for granted.

Lord, we pray that Your divine hand of protection would be upon them. We pray that You would give them courage in the face of fire. We pray that You would give them wisdom and discernment in every decision they make, and we pray that You would grant them a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for their families who wait back home. Lord, we pray that You would comfort their heavy hearts. Lord, we pray that You would replace any fear with faith, and, Lord, we pray for Your divine hand of protection upon them and upon their homes, while they wait their loved ones’ return.

Lord, we pray for our world leaders. God, we know that You are sovereign and we know that their hearts are in Your hand. And so we pray that You would guide them and give them discernment. And we pray for a swift path to lasting peace, that they would choose justice over evil and righteousness over wickedness.

Lord, we pray that our troops would return home safely and soon. We pray that You would comfort the grieving, that You would heal the wounded, and that Your peace would reign.

Lord, we thank You. We thank You again for this nation. We pray Your protection upon our troops, and we pray that You would guide our leaders.

Lord, we love You, and we pray all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

One Nation Under God

Day 15 of 50

TRANSCRIPT

My name is Mark Vance. I’m lead pastor at Cornerstone Church in Ames, Iowa. Let’s pray together.

Father in Heaven, we acknowledge You as holy. Your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come and Your will be done, God, on Earth the way that it is in Heaven. Thank You for providing for us our daily bread. You’re the giver of every good gift. Forgive us, God, the way that we would forgive those who’d sin against us, and don’t lead us into temptation. Lord, deliver us from the evil one. It’s Your kingdom. It’s Your glory. It’s Your power that matter most of all.

And we need You, Father, to send Your kingdom here on Earth. Father, we look to You and we pray that Your kingdom would come, Your will would be done here in our country, in America. Right now, God, we just look around and we see a culture that has been just so overtaken by worldliness and secularism.

Father, we need a fresh movement of Your Spirit. And so we’re asking You for that. From around this nation, God, we’re crying out that You would send Your Spirit to bring a great revival. A third great awakening, God, is what I’ve been praying for, that I could see it in my lifetime, that You would bring it, God. It’s Your power alone that can do this. And so we’re asking for it.

And in a particular way, God, my heart is just drawn to pray for the next generation, to pray for university students all across this country. I’m a dad with a kid going to college at a major university next year. And so, Lord, I just pray that the openness we’re beginning to see stir among young people all around America would continue. God, that for a generation that has seen the false lies of secularism, they would find the truth of Jesus Christ, and that their hearts would be drawn to know Him and to love Him and to worship Him.

So, Father, send Your Spirit, bring a great revival, and bring it especially among this next generation of college students around our country.

Lord, we ask it in the strong Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

TRANSCRIPT

Hello. My name is Pastor Ron Johnson, from the great state of Indiana. Let’s pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come to You with grateful hearts, humbly acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from Your hand. Today we thank You for the precious blessings of religious liberty and freedom of speech, the ability to worship You openly, to proclaim truth without fear, and to live out our convictions according to Your word.

Lord, we don’t take these freedoms for granted. We recognize that throughout history and even today, many long for what we so easily enjoy. Thank You for those who have sacrificed to secure these liberties, and for the founding principles that have allowed faith to flourish openly in our land. We ask You, O God, that You would continue to place Your protective hand on our nation.

Lord, guard these freedoms from erosion and grant wisdom, integrity, and humility to our leaders at every level. Help them to avoid injustice. Help them to defend truth. Help them to seek the good of all people. And Father, unite us as a people—not in uniformity, but in shared commitment to truth, civility, and righteousness. Teach us to use our freedom of speech, not for division or harm, but to build up, to speak life and, Lord, to reflect Your grace and truth in all that we say.

Revive Your church, Lord, across this land. Stir in us a boldness to live faithfully, to love deeply, and to shine as lights in a world that needs hope. Lord, may we steward our freedoms well, honoring You in both word and deed. We ask You for Your continued blessing, God, upon our nation, that we would turn our hearts toward You, that we would walk in Your ways, and Lord that we would experience the abundant life that only You can provide.

Lord, we pray all of this in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you so much for praying with us today, and may God bless you, and may God bless these United States of America.

One Nation Under God

Day 13 of 50

TRANSCRIPT

Hey, everybody. It’s Pastor Philip Miller from The Moody Church in downtown Chicago in Illinois. Would you join me in prayer? Let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, we come to You with gratitude and thanksgiving, because You have blessed us as a nation. As we think of celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary, we thank You for all Your kindnesses to us—kindnesses we haven’t always deserved.

Psalm 41 verse one says, “Blessed is the one who considers the poor.” And our prayer focus today is on the fact that, in so many ways, we’ve failed to do that as a country. We’ve failed to consider the poor, the oppressed, the marginalized. And, that’s part of our story, and we confess that to You.

We pray that we, as Your church, people called by Your Name, would lead the way in bringing justice and healing and mercy to our land, that we would care for the poor, the oppressed, the widow, the orphan, and that our light would so shine before men that when people see our good deeds, they give glory to You, our Father in Heaven.

And so, help Your church to lead the way in caring in this area for the poor, the oppressed, and those who get trampled on in so many ways.

And so, Father, we pray for Your continued favor and blessing upon our nation as we humble ourselves and seek Your face. Would You bring revival to our land and help us?

We pray this in Jesus’ Name, amen. Thanks, and let’s keep on praying.
