🎢 INSPIRED BY THE SOUNDTRACK OF JILL SCOTT

A Preaching Series | A Journey of Faith. Encounters with Jesus.

Every life has a soundtrack. Certain songs remind us where we’ve been, what we’ve survived, who we’ve loved, and how far we’ve come.

This September, we’re listening to some familiar themes through the lens of faith.

πŸ‘£ LONG WALK β€” Sometimes the journey is longer than we expected.

🚧 GETTIN’ IN THE WAY β€” Sometimes the greatest obstacle between us and where God is leading…is us.

❀️ HE LOVES ME β€” Along the journey, we discover the depth, persistence, and power of God’s love.

✝️ THE WAY β€” When we need direction, Jesus doesn’t merely point us toward a way. He is THE WAY.

πŸ™Œ COME SEE ME β€” And through it all, there remains a divine invitation: Come closer. Come encounter Me. Come see for yourself.

This September, come walk with us as we discover what God may be saying through the soundtrackβ€”and through His Word.

What song has been part of the soundtrack of YOUR journey? 🎧🎢

Drop it in the comments and tag somebody you’re inviting to walk with you!

πŸ“šβ˜€οΈ FBC Youth Summer Reading Challenge 2026

This summer, don't just fill your timeβ€”fill your heart and mind with God's Word.

At First Baptist Church, we're challenging our youth (ages 10–17) to spend the summer growing in faith through Scripture, devotion, and intentional reading.

Our theme, "Rooted in the Word. Ready for the World.", reminds us that a strong foundation in God's Word prepares us to navigate every season of life with wisdom, courage, and confidence.

πŸ“– Theme Scripture
"How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word."
β€” Psalm 119:9 (NIV)

This Summer's Challenge

βœ… Read 15–20 minutes each day
πŸ™ Pray before you read
πŸ“ Reflect by writing one lesson in your Faith Journal
πŸ’¬ Share what you're learning with a parent, mentor, or friend

This summer, let's become readers of the Word, leaders in our generation, and lights in our communities.

Read. Pray. Reflect. Grow. Lead. Inspire.
