It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved sister in Christ, Ann Houston, who went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2026.
Ann joined Lincoln Temple in 1982 alongside her husband, Rev. Ulysses J. Houston and for decades poured her heart into this congregation. She taught Sunday school, organized ecumenical events, and faithfully edited our weekly bulletin, monthly newsletter, and annual report — quietly shaping the voice of our church family for generations of members.
Ann is survived by her son, Jay Houston, who lovingly cared for his mother in recent years.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 10:00 AM at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ (5301 N. Capitol St. NE), followed by a Homegoing service at 11:00 AM.
