Join us in the Shiloh Sanctuary for “Moorland-Spingarn Research Center: Preserving the Global Black Experience,” presented by Sonja N. Woods, MA, Howard University Historian, and sponsored by the Carter G. Woodson Branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History.

As a new school year begins, we will also cover our entire school community in prayer: students, parents, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, security personnel and school staff. We’re praying that they enter the 2026-2027 school year covered, guided and equipped.

Shiloh, it’s time to celebrate!

A historic moment in the life of Shiloh Baptist Church is drawing near as we prepare for the installation of our seventh pastor, The Reverend Doctor Essentino A. Lewis Jr.

We invite the Shiloh family, friends and community to join us for the Installation Grand Gala on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC.

The evening begins with a reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by the gala at 7:00 p.m., featuring guest speaker Rev. Dr. Ralph Douglas West, Pastor and Founder of The Church Without Walls in Houston, Texas.

For more than 160 years, Shiloh has stood on a foundation of faith, service and community. Now, we gather to honor that legacy, celebrate this new chapter and look with great expectation toward the future God has prepared for Shiloh.
