Join us for the Cuba Faith Action Hour!
Monday, June 15 at 5:00 PM ET.

As the Trump administration threatens military action against Cuba and the U.S. embargo continues to deepen hardship across the island, people of faith have an important opportunity to learn, act, and advocate.

Hear how current U.S. policy is affecting churches, hospitals, schools, and ordinary Cuban families. Learn about the humanitarian and political situation in Cuba, get a brief advocacy training, and take action by contacting your Senators and Representatives in support of the Cuba War Powers Resolutions and the U.S.-Cuba Trade Act.

We'll provide a simple call script and everything you need to participate.

This week Congress begins its work on the Pentagon budget. This year's budget requests an unconscionable $1.15T for endless war, wasteful projects, and massive giveaways to weapons contractors. Like last year, Congress plans to pay for it with cuts to programs that help everyday Americans and the global poor afford food, childcare, education, and healthcare.

This immoral, reckless budget contradicts Christ’s call for peacemaking and care. Contact Congress today NO on the proposed Pentagon budget and instead follow Christ’s teachings by investing in the poor and vulnerable at home and abroad.

Use the link in the comments to find out more and, by June 4th, easily email your Members of Congress. Or call 202-224-3121 and ask to be connected to your Members of Congress.

TOMORROW!

The United States is the only country in the world that has more guns than citizens. It also experiences gun death rates that are among the highest in the world—slightly better than the rates in Brazil and Jamaica, slightly worse than the rates in Panama and Iraq. The result is a spiritual, political, and public health crisis that touches every community, including our own. As people of faith, we are called to be peacemakers, to protect the vulnerable, and to bring reconciliation to communities torn apart by violence. This month’s Presbyterian Advocacy Hour invites you to explore how we can answer that call.

Join us for an informed and hopeful conversation on practical, evidence-based solutions that save lives. We’ll examine secure gun storage — how keeping fi****ms locked and inaccessible reduces accidents, suicides, and theft. We’ll discuss Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs), a legal tool that allows families, law enforcement, and courts to temporarily remove fi****ms from individuals in crisis. And we’ll explore how congregations like yours can become centers of advocacy, education, and community healing.

Come ready to learn, be equipped, and take action.
