Nuggets from Wednesday Hour of Power
To pray in Jesus’ name is not to use His name as a religious closing line.
It is not a magic phrase.
It is not an incantation.
It is not simply saying, “In Jesus’ name,” after we have already decided what we want.
To pray in His name is to pray in agreement with who He is.
His character.
His authority.
His will.
His love.
His purpose.
When we pray in the name of Jesus, we are not trying to make God do what we want.
We are asking God to make our desires align with the Son.
