Our BLESSING BOX provides anonymous, 24/7 access to non-perishable food, toiletries, and basic necessities for anyone in our community facing hardship. The EYC invites every congregant to donate one item for our Blessing Box. We are especially in need of toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash, shampoo, deodorant, detergent, pasta sauce. and cereal. Other non-perishable items are also welcome. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DONATION IN THE RED WAGON at the church entrance when you arrive for service .

doors open at 5:10pm for silent prayer and meditation

Join us for our last mid-week healing eucharist of our program season.

The service features a spoken, contemplative service, a short reflection on the saint of the day, and the optional laying on of hands and anointing with prayers for healing.

This service will resume in the fall.

No - you don't have to be a regular Christ Church attendee - all are welcome!

BECOMING WHO WE ARE, The Rev. James Farwell, Ph.D.

The Rev. James Farwell, Ph.D. will visit Christ Church on Sunday, June 14 and give a talk in the evening entitled "Becoming Who We Are" -- the central idea being that when we praise God and pray, we enact in our bodies the very character of our lives as disciples of Jesus. Dr. Farwell will lead us in exploring the way we "practice becoming ourselves" in liturgical time, space, and rite.

Dr. Farwell will also preach at our 9 and 11am services.

Dr. Farwell is a Professor of Theology and Liturgy and the Director of Anglican Studies at the Virginia Theological Seminary, where our rector Amber studied. He is also the H. Boone Porter Professor of Liturgics at the General Theological Seminary in NYC.

Join us for this monthly service of evening prayer and contemplation with our gifted jazz musicians.

The service is about 45 minutes long, on the last Sunday of the month. This is the second-to-last Jazz Vespers of our program season which ends in June.
